Bill Simmons on the last Rewatchables podcast said that he got an advance viewing of the first three episodes and ranks it even with or better than True Detective S1 or any other show in HBO.

It was an enjoyable watch, but this was pure crazy talk

Yeah agreed. TD S1 is top 5 all-time. I did a watch of Mare of Easttown after this and its a bit of a toss-up for which one I like better. My wife said Mare and I lean that way too.

Mare is better imo but it's close.

I personally thought Mare was quite a bit better, and I enjoyed Task.

I might lean Mare too, but Task had more likeable characters, IMO. Mare had Winslet and Peters and not much else.

I loved this show and the finale but needed 15 more minutes

I didn’t like how open they left the Grasso storyline. What do you think happened to him?

Also was disappointed that all this build up between Perry and Jason and that’s how it ends? The gang was built up all season and they were all killed in 5 minutes.

Agree. Could have used one more episode and play things out just a little more. I thought the show was one of the best I've seen in a while. Writing, story, and acting were top notch.

I thought this was a pretty good miniseries and would recommend it.

Just finished the series. Kind of a blend between Sons of Anarchy and True Detective.

This may change tomorrow when HBO gets purchased by an inferior streamer.

Excellent (not the purchase obviously).

Gonna be hard to hold up to Season 1 though.
