Robbie knew he was done for, but he made sure Maeve and the kids were take care of. Great episode. This series has way exceeded my expectations going in.

I may have openly cheered when those frickers found that bag of flyers.

Just as really, really good episode. Well acted by all involved. Definitely cried.

Tom telling Grasso he was coming for him and he dropped then “then come”. LAWD.

I have a feeling Aleah is going to kill one of either Perry, Jayson, or Grasso. With a shot to the damn head. The preview for finale is intense and I didn’t think it could get more intense than this episode.

Cried multiple times this episode.

I wanted Robbie to kill Jayson so bad. What a gut punch Jayson getting over again.

These guys shoot like stormtroopers

Remind me, how did Robbie get the money? Anyone else find it hard to believe the druggie would keep it and deliver it? Surely she had a cut.

Ringer pod heard a rumor there might be a season two but they hope they wrap it up and it’s an anthology

They didn’t get the money, it was a decoy bag they found at the head of the river. The money was delivered to Maeve.

She got her cut to “get out” from Rays clutches before he got out of jail again.

Not every druggie is an actual POS outside of addiction. Not super hard to believe she would follow through.

Very good show and lots of good acting but the girl who played Lizzie has really impressed me.

Lizzie's death shocked me. I didn't see that coming.

I cried. They were all yelling for her to move and she couldn’t hear them. It was so gut wrenching. And after she didn’t freeze and shot one of the gang members too. Jeesh.

Didn't get to watch until last night so not caught up on the chat but DAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! What an episode of television.

That was one of the best episodes of TV that I can remember in a long time. Wow. Better than the top Severance episode from last year.

Watched it last night and I'm still shook from it this morning.

That episode had me in my feels the entire time. From tense to emotional, back to tense, back to emotional.

Robbie's story is just tragic. Poor guy. He wasn't a great guy but he clearly had a good heart, and it's hard not to pull for him even though his bad decisions were just compounding and leading to what you already knew would happen. I was hoping he'd pull out of it but the scene where he dies in Tom's arms is just tragic. I teared up for sure.

I'm not really that good at predicting what's going to happen with shows and it's not that big of a prediction but as soon as Lizzie said she'll go and make the call, I knew she was dead. She had her big moment and this show just builds you up and then knocks you down. As soon as she said that, I just thought "damn, that's too bad."

The drugs/money swap through me for a loop. What a freaking great ending. Wow. Did not see that coming. I want nothing but good things for Maeve so hopefully this doesn't bring her trouble but it's going to. Ol girl foreshadowed it with her "I'm sorry" comment when she gave her the money.

A few random tidbits that probably have already been discussed:

Why didn't Tom handcuff Perry when he had him knocked out? He's a cop, he had to have had handcuffs on him and just seems irresponsible not to take 10 seconds to handcuff a knocked out cold dude.

As good as Mare of Eastown was, I think this episode might have been better than the climax episode of Mare. Had a very similiar feel to the episode where Mare and Evan Peters go into the house like Starling/Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs and Peters gets shot and killed. This had that same dramatic feel and tragic deaths but like twice the tension. Hard not to compare these two shows. This episode valued Task into the same category of top tier TV as Mare. It was very good prior to this episode, this takes it to great.

Looking forward to the finale. Feel bad for people who didn't watch this show for some dumb Mark Ruffalo political reasons.

You need to put your phone down.

Not really. I'm sure Robbie gave her a seeing as I think it was millions. She made it clear in a previous episode she wanted out of this game and the money would have kept her in it. I think people are forgetting that this money, for now, put her in a big bind. Jayson and Perry and plenty of Dark Hearts are going to be after her. perry is going to immediately think of Maeve being the one with the money. She needs to leave town ASAP.

Great show and all but I've seen multiple people in this thread say they've cried watching this. Is it really THAT sad/emotional to you all? I admit, I get teary-eyed watching anything where a dog dies but a show where a person dies by his doing has that kind of effect?

Wasn't directed to me I know but I teared up a few times in that episode so I'll reply

The Robbie death got me teary eyed, Tom sitting on the floor with Sam got me a little dusty, and when Maeve got the money/Robbie flashback teared me up. I think it was more of all the build up made the scenes more emotional. I've turned into a softy though, after losing a few of my closest family members in the past few years, I cry a lot easier these days.

I didn't cry when Lizzie died though. Her character was one of the weakest of the entire cat imo. That and i saw it coming. But I can see why some did though, especially since Grasso did so well acting in that scene, it really brought out the emotions. But Lizze was one of the only "meh" characters for me in the entire series.

I didn't get teary-eyed but my wife did. The show has done a great job making us care about these characters. Robbie, Maeve and Lizzie are all very likeable characters.

Great episode and I despise Jason. He’s going to find out soon about wife and what happened too. That scene between him and Robbie was like if Magua had killed Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans.

Really? I just took that as sorry for Robbie. I felt like that part of the story was closed but I could be wrong. Kind've hope I am now that you say it.

Also, only one episode left so that's a lot of story to wrap in one.

I posted earlier the Ringer pod said they’ve heard rumblings of a season 2 but they hope they wrap it up vs drawing it out. They said they could do the black drug dealer storyline

So if you’re ranking the performances who do you go with? If you only get 3 Emmy nods, who you got?

Robbie
Grasso
Ruffalo or Maeve
