Unlucky for Jake. Boring episode except for snakebite

I see your point as well. The drama will develop itself overtime, but it seems to be going slower so far this season.

I called the guy a douche after episode 1 in this thread but I did have empathy for him getting knocked out by a snake bite.
I still don't think they would have won that last challenge with him there due to the puzzle skills of that tribe.
This season is very meh so far; I'm barely interested. Took me 3 viewings to get through episode 2 and 2 viewings to get through episode 3.

No, they'd have been smoked on the puzzle... then probably Jeremiah goes home anyway. If he was on the outs of the three he definitely was on the outs of the four.
Still sucks to go out on a snake bite. But... if that had been envenomated he'd have been struggling to keep that foot.

They should have gone for Jason, Matt is a chucklefrick and could be manipulated in the future. And we've already seen Jason dominate puzzles.
Curious if that tribe throws the next challenge to take a shot at Jason and then they go up 6-4 against the old yellow.

I think some of them are thinking too far ahead. They are planning for the merge way too early. Getting Matt out was the right move. He pretty much cost them that challenge because he couldn't stay on the beam. He gave up a huge lead.
Jason is Rain Man on puzzles. If they get rid of Jason and the next comp has a puzzle, they're screwed. Voting strictly along old tribe lines is a mistake when you start hurting your current tribe.

Never a bad idea to keep it in mind, but they don't know what the next twist will be. I see your point about keeping Jason because the next challenge might (probably will) have a puzzle.
The problem is, if they win... one of their red teammates (probably Sage but who knows) is the likely vote out on the other tribe so red vs. yellow is 5v5 again. Not sure they're thinking that far ahead though... and if I was ever on Survivor I'd never intentionally throw a challenge. Too much can go wrong.

And I wouldn't mention I retired working upper management in high finance.

My official job title has "senior" and "manager" in it.. keeping that to myself.

I think the edit is foreshadowing Sage turning the rest of the tribe against Shannon and blindsiding her in this next episode.
With that said, Sage is just way, way too weird for me. That whole blackhead stuff is disgusting.

This is the worst cast in the last several seasons. For a while they seemed to be drifting away from the really woke casts, but this season appears to be a return to that. I was catching snakes in Arizona when the season started, so we had a few episodes to watch when I returned home. We watched the first episode, then I told my wife, “Yeah, I can’t watch two episodes of this in a row.”

Predictable result again.. surprising again that Jason didn't play his shot in the dark.
They must have sweet talked him pretty well.
Sage is growing on me. I like her sort of weird.

Right! He must have felt some level of safety to not play it and then he voted for Rizzo? What the heck?
But I am jealous of that head of hair he has!

Jason and MC took completely different approaches to getting into the as an alternate.
MC is playing hard and trying to make things happen. Whereas Jason just seemed like he was dazed, confused, just "happy to be there" while doing nothing outside of puzzles in the challenge and going out with a whimper.
Jason seems like a nice guy, but wow, outside of the puzzle challenges he was a weak, weak player.
This season, as a whole, has been disappointing. The editing is way too obvious that the players we need to care about are Kele Sophi, Savannah, and Rizo. Meanwhile, some players like Hina Sophie and Kristina might as well not be in the show.
Of course, most of the cast is not very interesting to watch/flat-out annoying. Jawan seems like a nice guy, but man, he's just annoying. Savannah is boring, yellow tribe as a whole is boring, Alex's sob story is that he usually orders door dash, too many "I was bullied!" storylines...what has happened to this show?

really really bad casting
If the players and stories are going to suck, at least get back to people who look good nearly or completely naked.

I'm checked out of this season. I'll watch because I don't have anything better to do on Wednesday but none of these assholes are likable

Horrible cast. Basically, all theatre kids besides Nate. I wish they’d go back to getting a cast with some blue collar folks and ppl willing to pick a fight if need be.

I’m hoping season 51 is different. CBS got rid of their casting rules where at least 50% of the cast had to be people of color or other minorities. Next season is all returning players but hopefully season 51 will reflect the looser casting rules.

The 5 minutes checking Christina out by a doctor because she was hot was a bit much. I’m guessing producers are grasping for straws this season.
