I agree... plus the weird split with 6 for Tiffany and 2 for Xander. If you're going to split then a 6/2 makes no sense when the other side could potentially put 3 votes on the same person. They didn't, but that's hindsight.

At some point when the big group was huddled up, they decided to vote for Tiffany, and it ruffled DeShawn that Shan was once again forcing her plan through because he wanted to blindside Naseer. He went with it, though, and voted for Tiffany.

Xander may be my favorite new character in some time.

I'm surprised he didn't find the advantage on the sit-out bench. He was definitely thinking about it and looking.

I agree and my first impression was that he was a dumb pretty boy that I'd hate. You know what they say about books and covers.

Also would like to say I could not have been more wrong about the New Zealand Alliance. I thought they'd have a stronger bond than normal but Shan is so headstrong that its crashing and burning. I think Shan's alliance could be full of her actual siblings and they'd get tired of her shite.

Shan is a smart person but she lacks tact. Her ideas aren't bad, her execution of them is terrible.

I think they could get Ricard to flip since he doesn't like Shan much and he seems like a schemer.

I absolutely don't understand why they didn't try to swing this.

Xander, Tiff, and Evvie are clearly on the outs, the other old lady and the asian girl are clearly on the bottom of the power group, so why those five don't get together and try to convince Ricard he is first out once the numbers are down just baffles me.

Shan clearly rubs everyone the wrong way by trying to boss everyone around, and Danny has got to be the biggest physical threat to never have his name mentioned by this point in the game. Either of those two should have been easy sells to pretty much everyone and it's like no one even considers it.

I just don't understand what any of them are thinking.

Hell, even if you can't get Ricard, Xander still has the extra vote, so he could have played it and still gotten one of those two big targets out.

Just a disappointing tribal when they really had a shot to take out a big player and swing the numbers to their advantage.

fter reading the interview she is still a conceited foul mouth but she was really in touch what was happening in the game but was the victim of the hour glass twist.

Ok, I just read her interview. She may understand the game, but she's even less self aware than I thought she was. She really thinks she's an extremely likeable person who was voted out because she was such a big threat in every way.

She was not likeable in any way at all. No wonder she went home. She's the one I wanted gone the most. Now it's Shan.

It was weird to me how quickly she dismissed the idea to blindside someone like Naseer who has an idol. The logic, I think, is that she considered Naseer a shield of sorts and as long as he is around then Danny/DeShawn will look to target him over turning on Shan?

You just have to at least entertain the idea, like DeShawn said, hear it out.

Xander, Tiff, and Evvie are clearly on the outs

Seems like they really were on the outs with each other as well. They didn't even put up a unified vote, not that it would have mattered.

I think everyone but Deshaun just doesn't want to get into a fight with Shan. They are just biding their time until they really think what she wants is hurting their game. But at some point, they won't be able to get her if they wait too long. However, she thinks she's just manipulating people and playing a fabulous social game and that just isn't the case.

I think Danny is very likeable and while he seems strong, he plays in a way that they sort of forget that and just want him on our side. He is strong, but sits back enough that people don't feel threatened.

Yeah he definitely has a good vibe that seems to put people at ease.

Wasn’t at all saying I wanted him to go, just that it’s frustrating as a viewer when you get to those last votes where there is potential for a big flip in the game but the other side just doesn’t seem to be interested in doing anything other than staying alive as an individual for one more week.

But it’s been fun watching Danny play and getting to see him in a setting away from football. I’m rooting for him for sure.

It's all about timing. Try to plan a big move too soon and it gets around and then the target is on your back.

Sandra's go-to move was to claim someone was saying such and such name and watch everything blow up. It didn't even have to be real.

I don't understand why Danny and Deshawn all of a sudden had it out for Naseer. Shan was right to push back on that idea, though she did it in a horrible way and pushed Deshawn away from that alliance a little. Naseer is going to vote with them, and isn't a schemer at all. No threat whatsoever. And wasn't it just a couple of evictions ago that Danny was worried about the male/female split?

I was kind of expecting Xander to drop the bomb at tribal over being told 3 different names, and for him to list them all to stir up paranoia a cause more cracks on the other side. Weird he didn't even get asked any questions, or any that made the air. And Ricard was an idiot pushing Xander to play his idol. Even a horrible player could have seen that bluff from a mile away.

I guess the shorter time between tribals is what is causing some of these head scratching moments. The paranoia has to be through the roof.

I agree here. He could be a finals threat, but currently he's more of a loyal soldier.

I think this was it. If they start targeting people just bc they have idols, well Shan would be 3rd on the list.

I was listening to Know it Alls with Rob C and Fishbach and they brought this up. Usually day 1 after tribal is damage control, day 2 people make up and move on, day 3 then new tribal cycle starts, but when you remove day 2 people's engines just don't have any down time.

Yeah the live tribals were fun at first (like a few seasons ago) but it is getting out of hand. It’s inevitably going to end up an every week planned thing to try to trick people

Damn it the first time I watched live all season and no one posting??

I’m completely confused as to WTF Shan was doing using her extra vote and splitting them between old lady and Nasir????

What was the point of that???

And F Deshawn for backing out of turning on L. The split tribal was the perfect chance to shake things up. Maybe seeing Nasir get voted out scared him so he stuck with what he knew, but that actually should have been even more reason to look for a new group because he should have assumed Shan was the one that flipped on Nasir like she wanted to the week before (even though it actually ended up being Ricard ).

I assume Danny talked him out of it. Danny, I know you’re reading this, and I love ya and rooting for you, but that’s boring shite

Yeah, tribal 1 was weird. Zero reason for Shan to waste her extra vote, just send someone home.
