Yes, season 3 is Africa. It's definitely as a whole lacking in the eye candy department.
Season 2 was the Outback, so not on a beach, but they were camped right on the river, so still had some bikinis out, at least the tops. They actually talked in the reunion show about how Amber and Elizabeth wore shorts instead of bikini bottoms for the competition.
I actually ran into Silas from the Africa season not long after that season aired. He was bartending at a club in L.A. and ended up chatting with our group for a while.
He was still PISSED because he was running his tribe but became the original victim of the first ever tribe swap and got eliminated the next tribal, I believe.
Was actually a pretty cool dude, went to UTennessee and talked SEC with us, including LSU over UT in 01, which had just happened a few months before.
He had a good sense of humor about the whole thing with Survivor and had moved to L.A. to try acting.

Yeah, he got fricked over by the twist tribe swap. He was leading the majority alliance in his tribe then swapped out, left his entire alliance behind, and was the next to go.

really enjoyed the blonde getting blindsided. I was ready for the purple haired chick to go home until the blonde opened her mouth. she actually seemed out of place on this tribe. seemed like she was used to getting by on her looks. she had that smug grin on her face until the 3rd vote against her.
And the oriental chick ranting about competing and being strong or whatever and she failed miserably during that challenge. And what is that hole in her neck?
just now got caught up last night. i agree. wrong place to be smug and even though i disagree with the game move, i did enjoy them sending her home. she was even kinda cocky in her exit interview i thought.
and i agree... what the hell is on ole girls neck? i thought it was a fricking spider and was like whoa... what the frick is going on here.
thought dude going through other dudes pockets was dirty. i mean how many other peoples clothes/bags did he rifle through before he ever found anything that we didn't see... would have been funny if he would have stolen it though, just to see how it would have unfolded. everybody standing around claiming dindu

The so called super-fan called a tribe meeting to tell everyone to stop scheming and plotting
Jeremy knew just enough about this game send his own game up in flames. This vote should have been easy and would have been had he just sat back and let Natalie sink her own game.

Jeremy really blew it. If that show was not edited out of wack then the guy can only blame himself. Calling a meeting, not letting the lady speak to the group...wow

Holy crap...every time Natalie opens her mouth, I just want to reach through the screen, grab her around the neck, and dip her head in and get fire.

She managed to be so vile, that it actually helped her game because absolutely no one sees her as a long-term threat to win.

Yeah, Jeremy really screwed himself big time.

I seem to remember a season a few years ago where a dude made the final 3 because everyone knew that no one on the jury would vote for him.
ETA: I don't think Natalie will make the final 3, but like you said, stranger things have happened.

Seems like every season now there is a super fan who gloriously flames out early

Survivor tricked me last night. They edited it to make it look like a Jeremy backdoor, but I thought it was a head fake they're known for.
Jeremy screwed himself, but he was right that he went to Natalie with genuine intentions to let her know how the tribe was perceiving her. Sucks his own arrogance got in his way and his own lack of self awareness was his downfall.
I'm beginning to really like Angelina.

She is damn good. She recognized Jeremy as a threat and got EVERYONE to flip on him. Her reasoning was sound and she was extremely calm and rational when Natalia was pushing back hard on wanting to vote Natalie.
Tribe swap with 17 people is weird. Wonder if they are bringing exile or ghost island into the fray.

He would have gotten kicked off the show. That is a hard rule that you are not allowed to mess with another persons belongings including any idols they have stored in there.

In One World one of the Men found Colton's Idol and threw it in the ocean. They had to make a new one for him. I don't think they did anything other than warn the guy

this was one of those tribals where i wish there would have been 2 people voted out. Jeremy and Natalie are impossible to listen to.

I probably bring it up too much on here, but this is why the themes of the shows are completely pointless. There is no reason to tribe swap right now. Neither tribe has a distinct numbers advantage. Goliath has one more person. I can see if Goliath won the first 3 challenges that they would need to switch it up, but that didn't happen. I usually call for more changes each season just because the players can plan for things too easily. Well, now they basically predicted a tribe swap. It's time for the show to go in the opposite direction next season. As long as the numbers are fairly even, keep the tribes together until the merge.
