Yea my mistake wasn’t Campea it was chaos theory. I know he’s a sacred cow here so apologies to his fans.

This is the extended version of his comments, I started it at the Supergirl portion. He goes into a lot of detail and background of the prior universe etc. I like his takes on things

Was attacked for saying this movie would struggle to hit $250

I haven't seen anyone talk any that Robin Hood movie. Good cast I'll likely see it next.
I absolutely loved the movie, although its definitely not for everyone.
The story is from some of the first known stories about Robin Hood, A Gest of Robyn Hode. Robin is an outlaw. He doesnt steal from the rich and give to the poor. There's no Maid Marian, or other characters, or characteristics that were added during The Renaissance Period that are attributed to the character today.

Hey Peter, did that strategy have the entire internet saying your movie isn’t good?

Everyone else at DC received multi year extensions. Safran and Gunn got multi month extensions. MOT is the end.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Campea says he called around on a name and thinks he knows the Batman actor. “Not who he would’ve guessed”—he did some lists previously and Sklenar and all the usuals were on there.
Who else could it be? Doesn’t seem that inspiring

It’s the guy from 1923 supposedly but the movie almost certainly will never be made.
Edit- sorry I missed that you named him

It’ll hinge on MOT performance, I don’t think supergirl tanking will entirely kill any future plans. It was one ill conceived project
They probably need to announce a Batman soon to get some excitement back, comic con coming soon
ETA
I could be misinterpreting what he said. Maybe he wouldn’t have expected Sklenar either

+1 they have lanterns and Clayface next. Mot and The Batman next year. Plenty of projects to turn things around. I think Ellison keeps them around temporarily. He'll have a lot on his plate so I would not be surprised if he keeps them for another year or so. I've been saying that I believe he'll offer Gunn to keep making Superman movies. He's just not going to keep this DC Studio around for long.

This is why I’m saying he’ll be done by MOT. Superman lost money, I know people are claiming it made it back on VOD but that’s false since the numbers being thrown around would make it the highest viewed VOD movie in history by light years. It lost $47mil at the box office, then you had Peacemakers viewership practically cut in half for S2 and it not being renewed and now you have Supergirl which for now you can say it’ll lose over $150 million but some estimates have that number at over $250m. You have the short extension on his contact compared ti others getting multi year ext. and WB has another option with Reeves that’s been successful. My prediction was he wouldn’t be renewed in May, now his extension could keep him officially on until MOT in an attempt to salvage as much as they can like they attempted with The Flash, but MOT isn’t going to make money and I believe he and Safran will be done when that happens.

Have to remember Clayface is now under Reeves. It started as a Reeves project then went to Gunn but is now back with Reeves. Clayface is supposed to be the 1st movie in the chronology of the new DCU so it can be put in either universe. I think that’s also a sign.

I agree, it makes sense to keep some continuity when you’re juggling all aspects of a huge merger.
I do think the pressure is on now with the first failure being so early in their cinematic tenure

It is, he and his production company, 6th and Idaho, are now running it. Cry more

Looks like the Clayface budget is around the 40 mil range

According to box office analysts Early Buzz on Man of Tomorrow is promising:
“While a setback, the result for "Supergirl" does not necessarily undermine the broader strategy that Mr. Gunn and Mr. Safran have put in place for DC Studios. Box office analysts are optimistic, about the fortunes of their next movie, "Clayface," which cost only an estimated $45 million to make; it arrives in October. Early buzz around "Man of Tomorrow" is also promising.”
