I don’t understand the people that didn’t realize none of the kids getting it was the ending after the episode after Logan’s death. Of course that was the end. Tom being CEO was the surprise, but the kids at each other’s throats and fricking each other had to be the end.

There’s a clean path to a spin off, which I hope happens.

I think I’m glad none of them are in charge because they all suck and would be terrible at it.

I’ve gotta say I felt for Kendall in those last few scenes. I was actually yelling at him when his whole argument to Shiv was that he deserved it, obviously that wasn’t going to work.

I mean lying about millions of subscribers is a lot of money that he doesn’t actually have. Shiv could’ve had ATN and help fix the president election if she wanted. She had way more power and self interest with Ken than Tom being a puppet CEO. Tom has very little power and is 100 percent going to eventually take the fall for Mattson. It would’ve made way more sense for Roman to say no and get it away from it all with his money.

It is to me. There were finance guys calling their clients from the floor of the stock exchange during the middle of 9-11. The people who work in finance wouldn't have cared for a second about what was happening outside of their world.

I don't think GoJo having fake numbers in India, the second most populous country in the world, would go unnoticed by the markets, regulators and politicians.

Maybe it's just me though.

Shiv's a loser and a hanger-on. Being Tom's baby mama is as close to power as she gets.

Kendall probably boots her out eventually and she just becomes a disgruntled "no" vote at every board meeting.

The turn by Shiv was in character. She's a selfish type of "if I can't have it, nobody can".

Her throwing excuses to Kendall was just fodder for her selfishness. I thought Kendall was just as much a goofball as the rest, but I'd never have trusted Shiv. She's an emotional weak person.

Tom would do well to dispense of her immediately, frankly. Her kicking Mattson's tires bc of his interest though could be a problem for Tom.

If being stuck with Shiv is Tom's price for power, I suppose he's got to do that penance willingly.

Markets, regulators and politicians made sure we never heard from Wells Fargo again

It came down to jealousy. The family that can’t be happy for each other. Shiv was on her high horse until Kendall broke the news to her. Then she faked a smile and went with the idea. In the end she couldn’t see Kendall in that position (because of jealousy). She rather be unhappy than to see her brother’s success.

Half the sale is in stock. They could immediately see a valuation decrease by the next quarter.

Honestly, they could all be left holding the bag now, propped up by Waystar holdings.

Dicey.

Right. Couldn’t resist the urge to twist the knife, impose her power over him in the battle they’ve been in since childhood. She was torn, knowing that not only was she ending the family’s legacy but also any hope for power of her own. But the satisfaction from putting Kendall in his place was too much to pass up.

This was one of my biggest quibbles with the finale. Kendall is making the right moves but when it comes time to nail Shiv down he makes a selfish pitch? He doesn’t make the obvious sale to her vanity with potential for future power? She’s a nobody barely married to the ceo compared to a board member. Even for an emotional animal, it’s not believable for a selfish person.

Just finished it. Kendall 100% kills himself because he no longer has any purpose in life, right?

I also like the way not everything was laid out for us. We don’t see the fallout from the fake numbers, we don’t see the presidential election get finalized, don’t see the siblings relationships or anything like that.

The story came to an end, everything else was really not relevant anymore, I kinda like it.

I’m ok with the kids not getting it, but the way this came about was a bait and switch.

I get that Shiv flip-flops, but she goes from telling Tom to F off with camera angles that are all power move “woman scorned” close ups to throwing her brother under the bus for no apparent reason other than “you’d suck at it.” It makes no sense at all. Very poorly executed.

She screwed over the one guy who literally wasn’t trying to screw her. Throughout this entire season Ken has been open and honest with his siblings. He never pulled a sucker punch in any way. And Roman and Shiv still couldn’t have his back.

Agree that the Gojo numbers should have been a bigger obstacle for Mattson.

Also, Emma should have been a bigger piece, more active in working against Mattson. The writers could have used her as the “Shiv” on Mattson’s team. The dynamic of those two women, feeling mistreated and taken for granted by the men, could have been far more interesting. I kept waiting for Emma to be a bigger wrench in the works.

All in all, Shiv and Roman hearing Sandy say “We want out,” and then saying as much in the board room would have been better. The two of them just want to move on. Ken still gets his big blow up but in the board room. Having 2 vs 1 would have been more effective than just Shiv.

IMO, watching Ken have the rug pulled out from under him out of nowhere was just cruel.

** corrected: Ebba—my hearing sucks.

I think many are missing something here. Being selfish means living to fight another day. This move takes her out of the game.

Then they sit all around the table and Ken has an opportunity to speak first as a leader, and he just says "You know what I'm about. Just vote."

The writing for Kendall has been so up and down. He gives that powerful speech at the funeral and then in the board meeting he’s back to “What’s up guys? So yeah uh, vote no, right? Because like, the deal’s bad and it’s not ya know, uh, good or whatever.”

Greg should have kept silent IMO. He should have read the tea leaves when he saw the text and then Tom/Mattson's one on one.

He's going to be Gregging forever now.

He could have been Tom's right hand. Now he will never go anywhere because Mattson hates him.
