This.

Luke is the answer.

After watching an older Ahsoka tear it up with Mando, it made me realize how much of a Mary Sue Rey really was. They literally pulled out all of the stops to make her strong with very little training.

Edit because I am a retard and can’t spell Ahsoka correctly.

Are you ignorant of the Clone Wars series? She spent her entire training in constant battle while being taught by Anakin Skywalker and at times, Obi-Wan Kenobi - two of the best duelists in the entire Jedi Order.

Ahsoka is literally the opposite of a Mary Sue. She is constantly struggling, has failed many times, and learned from those failures.

You think because she handles herself well with Mando that suddenly she's a "Mary Sue?" You clearly have no idea about her backstory.

Starkiller

He was dropped from canon (and probably wise, as the stuff he does would be hard to reconcile with no one else pulling those stunts).

Yoda and Palpatine are the most powerful as far as the movies are concerned. Luke and Anakin both would have passed them, but Luke basically gave up (boo on you Disney sequels, BOO ON YOU) and Anakin had most of his body destroyed, weakening him.

If you get into the EU... Darth Bane is way up there, as is Exar Kun, Darth Vitiate (the Emperor from the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO) and Revan (from KOTOR). Don't think the game characters are specifically canon anymore, but the really old stuff is kind of in a limbo. Anything set post prequel, unless licensed by Disney, is no longer canon.

That's why Cade Skywalker, who otherwise would be WAY up on the list, isn't on it anymore. He was set after the Original Trilogy, 125 years after ROTS, in Legacies that no longer exists in the Disney era.

I think that's his point.

He's saying REY is the Mary Sue and they made her strong with very little training, whereas Ahsoka had training and experience galore and Mando was resisting her with essentially just his gauntlets.

Yup, that's on me. I missed where he mentioned Rey (I see it now), so my apologies on getting on his case.

I was about to say, Ahsoka might be the most developed, least Mary Sue character in nearly all of Star Wars. Rey is part of a long list of Mary Sues (though definitely the most egregious one) in the movie universe.
