I may have rewatched it once but it has been 7 or 8 years ago if I did but man is it compelling TV. I started it as just background noise while I did some work on the computer but I found myself constantly pausing it to get to a stopping point in my work to pay attention.

If you haven't seen it or has been a while since a rewatch it is an excellent use of 9 hours.

I rewatched the first three seasons right after Season 5 on Fox ended. I still like all three and thought this past season was better than Season 4.

Funny. I was thinking about this song just last week and how much I enjoyed S1.

Season 1 is in a class by itself. Season 2 had promise but didn't stick the ending and got to convoluted with the stupid ****SPOILERS**** aliens bullshite. I couldn't watch more than a few episodes of the last season because it was stupid woke agenda crap.

1: brilliant;
2: almost;
3: some good (the villain and Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and some not so good;
4: sucked;
5: sucked.

I could have tolerated the woke stuff, but their neutering of what should have been a final bloodbath was pathetic. What made Season 1 and 2 the best were the acts of unexpected violence.

Ending Season 5 with Jon Hamm in jail and being told off by the mother-in-law was fine, and the Dot character was one of the best since Bokeem Woodbine in Season 2 (maybe second only to Billy Bob and Martin Freeman). But the final two episodes were another missed opportunity to stick the landing.

Season 4 with Chris Rock was better than season 5, I still don’t get the hate for season 4. It was better than 2 and 5.

I had a hard time choosing between 1 and 2. Thought they were both brilliant. I actually loved 3 too.

Couldn’t finish 4 or 5

It’s definitely my favorite season. Martin Freeman & Allison Tollman are great in it. .

It is really difficult for a show that isn't a continuation and starts with a steller first season to live up to expectations. While I wouldn't rave about any of the other 4 seasons I would have enjoyed them if they were just stand alone shows that didn't have to stand in the shadow of S1.

Agree except 5 was okay for me but dragged and got pretty dumb towards the end. S4 was unwatchable.
