They made a constant point to show that it is 100% about the advancement of society. Very few if any fatties and any disease or heart defect, cancer whatever is curable and fixed. Blindness, etc....No one would be in a wheelchair in Star Trek.

Again, this show is terrible enough, imaginary faults aren't required.

What, did Trek leave the post scarcity era that all basic needs essentially cost nothing so there was no real poverty anymore?

Geordi got more advanced as the movies went on. And no they didn't cure baldness but no one cared.

OK, I forgot about Pike but that was slightly different. I can't recall other wheelchair bound characters. Help me out if you can remember who else.

Is that shite real? Underwear on my butt? Who the frick greenlit this show?
I seriously don't think I've seen worse. It sucks.

Pike was grievously injured in the line of duty. I don’t recall magically being able to reverse burns and limb loss being part of the show(s) but I’ve not seen the later stuff. But there were no fat starfleet members that I can recall. There were fat off-world characters like cyrano jones but no officers or enlisted men. If there are fat cadets in this new show then that’s stupid

Holly Hunter's character is proof that not even a disdain for proper order, discipline, merit, fitness, and hell the Federation can preclude you from being a Starfleet Officer

Picard basically died and is now an advanced android like Data. (Though I would be fine if they ignored that)
That would be the "cure".
Also his baldness was an issue and he wore a toupee when first filming the pilot but it was axed. Some in the studio thought baldness would be cured in the 23rd century
