You mean live action trilogy wise? Because the animated series are fantastic as are the video games and plenty of the books.

IMO it is not on the level of the prequels. I enjoyed it much more the second time around.
Not sure what you mean here, but I see a lot of comparisons with the prequels. To me, while the prequels do suck, they suck for totally different reasons than the suckage of this disaster. At least with the prequels , entire story lines and characters were not ruined for ever more. Take out Jar Jar, the sappy romance scenes and recast Anakin, and they really are not that bad. Story wise anyway.

If Disney hired me to write IX, the first line of the crawl would be "LEIA ORGANA HAS DIED."

Mine would be:

Rey Awakens from a long nightmare that showed her a possible future she cannot accept. Convinced that she must stop that future from happening she leaves Leia and the other resistance Fighters on a quest to find Luke Skywalker with the map now complete.

I'd straight retcon the entire Episode VIII out of existence and start over.

I mean exactly what I said. In my opinion it isn't on the level of the prequels. In yours it is. Which is fine

The prequels were salvagable, and were salvaged by the fans. I don't know what the fans can do to fix this movie.

The anti-cheese versions are watchable. Not good by a long stretch, but watchable. Original movies are not watchable.

Once again, no matter how bad they were, and at times they were REALLY bad, I never felt like I wasn’t watching a Star Wars movie.

Very little short of making Ben a huge liar, and re-shooting every Luke scene.

I'm sure you are using the "I don't understand" in a condescending way but you know what I'm saying.

I don't agree with people who are saying it's worse than the prequels. In my opinion it isn't. But if others,or you, feel that way that is cool.

No, no I am not. I seriously don't know.

Yeah I'm sure Luke would have known how to perform a Jedi mind trick if he never saw Obi-Wan use it.

Why does this bother so many ppl? I agree it would be shtt if Rey is No One but Ren IMO lied. Driver's acting gave off a hint of "i'm hiding something" when telling Rey about her parents. Previously he spoke in very matter of fact tone except when delivering the final response about her parents.

Remember how important Jakku was to Sheev in Aftermath. Rey being from Jakku is not coincidence.

Luke spent more time with Obi-Wan and on Degobah with Yoda than the entire movies of VII and VIII put together span at this point. And he was the son of the most powerful force user ever.

It's not a fair comparison.

Luke meets Obi-Wan, trains, sees Obi-Wan die, joins the rebellion, leads the charge against the death star, meets Yoda, trains with Yoda, fights Vader, loses, then spends a year training and meditating and crafting his own light saber before facing him again.

The entirety of VII and VIII take place in at most a few days. VIII is expressly said by the characters in the movie to take place in less than 6 hours.
