So I was flipping through the channels early yesterday morning for something to watch before the July 4th festivities at my house began and I caught a few episodes of this. Cartoon Network was doing a "July Fourth be with you" sort-of-thing and was having an all-day marathon of the series.

I really enjoyed the few episodes that I caught, probably more than I should have. Very interesting and a lot of action and tense moments. It definitely took the sour taste out of my mouth that Episodes 1-3 gave me. I looked it up online and the series apparently bridges the gap between Episode 2 and 3.

Does anyone else on the board watch this show? Looks like there are 4 seasons of it already and a fifth season planned next year.

Also, if you watch the show regularly, I have a question. If I wanted to start watching the show from Season 1, should I start out by re-watching Episode 2, then watch The Clone Wars animated movie that came out in theaters a few years ago?

I think I've seen the first 3 seasons. I really like the show and can watch it a lot easier than the prequels.

If you are referring to the CGI movie that came out to kick off this show, it was not nearly as good as the show itself. You can watch if you want though. I don't think it would hurt.

As far as watching episode 2, this show doesn't segue nearly as well as the cartoons that Tartakovsky made and aired on cartoon network in between when episodes 2 & 3 came out. This show is almost like they scrapped all of that and started over. Personally, I liked those better than this show. If it's been a long time and you just want to watch Episode 2 for the hell of it, go ahead, but really all you need to know for the show is that there are Clone Wars and Obiwan and Anakin are generals.

Don't care for the Asoka character or the episodes that feature Padme. I gave up after season one but will still watch if the episode interests me (Boba Fett, Darth Maul episodes).

I love the show and have seen every episode. They pretty much stand alone, with the exception of some longer stories. I am a fan of the prequels though, especially ROTS. Lots of great action and it digs a little deeper into the back stories the movies couldn't tell..

Revenge of the Sith is a good movie. People don't like it because it's in the same trilogy as 1 and 2. 1 and 2 suck but people shouldn't let that affect their view on Episode 3.

Exactly, I love ROTS. It brings everything together perfectly. I did like certain parts of Attack of the Clones. Especially Anakin embracing his emotions and starting his fall. But Phantom Menace was awful. It was a kid movie that was just horrible. TV show is great though.. no really made for kids either..

You said you're a fan of the prequels. I'm just a fan of episode 3. Episodes 1 and 2 are just bad. Poor dialog, TOO much use of CGI, and terrible character development.
