If only they had focused on quality, instead of message... I mean, just imagine how good Kenobi could have been. You had Ewen MacGregor and Jimmy Smits returning to their roles, you had Hayden Christensen doing his take on Anakin as Darth Vader, Indira Varma as the disallusioned Imperial officer. You had Flea doing a cameo as a bounty hunter (which surely indicated dude's love of Star Wars), brief appearances by Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon) and Ian McDiarmid (Palpatine). Temuera Morrison as a homeless Clone Trooper on the streets. On paper, everything was set up to be great. They chose to focus instead on the vengeful Inquisitor, which still could have been good (the conflict with Vader), but still was a huge mess. They wasted the performances of everyone listed. It sucks, because even with all the messaging going on, you had the cast and resources to produce a GREAT show, if the show-runners were as competent as a high school drama club director.

I keep trying to tell people this.

The voices who are trying to say “they are making crap” are drowned out by the folks who are saying “they are making WOKE!!!!!!!! crap”.

Their response is “oh, people just don’t like it because it’s woke, see” and so they make more (woke) crap”.

It bombs too, and now the money is dried up. So no new Star Wars content.

But guess what will happen???

Eventually, people will call for it. And the people who made the crap will say “see, the fans want it”…and here comes more crap that is woke.
