Since TNT has aired 6 of the 7 episodes I have started to rewatch them. I am on episode 5 and I have a couple of questions. I have seen all 7 of them so answers won't spoil anything for me.

1. When yoda is talking to Luke and Obi Wan, yoda mentions something about Luke not being the only hope. I think it goes something like Obi Wan says Luke you are our only hope and yoda says not our only one. Who is yoda talking about?
2. Why does Luke call Obi Wan Ben?
3. Does Leia have the force?

ETA: you happy now, jack?

2. That's what he's been going by for years.
3. See #1

Why do people put "spoilers" in 30+ yr old movie threads? Especially Empire, which literally everyone has seen.

My opinion, he's talking about Vader still being able to bring balance to the force.

A name he went by on Tatoine

In the Extended Universe, yes she did, but that is no longer canon, so no she does not.

In episode VII, Kylo Ren has the power of the force. So wouldn't that have to be passed down from one of them. Or could yoda possibly be seeing into the future and know that Luke will have a daughter who is the next only hope?

In episode VII, the bad guy is Han and Lewis's son.

Ok, I had doubts, but this is just blatant.

This. That line is clearly talking about Leia. But it isn't the hope that she can be a force master, IMHO. It's the hope that as one of Vader's kids they can convince him to kill the emperor. That's how I've always viewed it. Anikan was always the prophecy to balance the force. He slaughtered the Jedi and then the Sith.

bullshite, that "prophecy" was never mentioned until that fever dream that lasted the entire prequel trilogy. You might as well being up her mitochondrion count.

But yeah they're taking about Leia, I always figured that was pretty obvious.

Yes, she does. Even in just the movie universe.

Leia feels and to some degree utilizes the force in the movies. She senses Luke to be her brother, senses his presence and state of danger. In the movies those are clear signs of force sensitivity.

The prophecy was contrived, but it fit. There were thousands of Jedi to two Sith in the prequels. By the end or ROTS, there were two Sith (Emperor and Vader) and two Jedi (Kenobi and Yoda). If the rumors about the next episode are true, we are going to get more "prophecy".

first off, there is no need to say spoilers for star wars movies from the 80's.

And B, if you saw all 7 of them, you shouldn't need to ask the 1st and 3rd questions, b/c Return of the Jedi makes all of that pretty clear with no confusion

Riddle me this:
Why couldn't Yoda defeat Count Dooku when they fought? I've heard the excuses as to why he didn't defeat Palpatine when they fought, but what's the excuse as to why he can't defeat Dooku?
Answer....Yoda is overrated.

Well, I hadn't seen 4,5 and 6 in 20 years. Last night was the first time I had watched 5 in 20 years. A simple answer to my question would have just been fine. Thank you to those who answered me. To those who nit picked about spoilers or about me even asking a question,
