Will we ever see X-Wings again? They don't have any more ships and I doubt the New Republic flies them.
the last x-wing we saw was in the water on Luke's planet

The Rey and Ren story isn’t terrible. It was the only interesting part.

What the movie does really well is subvert your expectations and constantly keep you guessing. Every time you think you know exactly where this is going, it throws you a curve. Some liked that, some didn't.
It did that at the expense of the story though.
Think Leia is dead because she was blown into space? Nope!
Been waiting to see who Rey’s parents are? She’s Joe Dirt in space.
Wanting to delve further into the new character’s backstory? Nope again, and here are 4 other new characters that you care very little about! And half of them are dead and the ones still alive did very little to further the story.
Want to see how a very powerful Sith Lord came to power and how he learned the Force? Forget that, he gone so just assume he read a book or something.
Want to see redemption for Luke? Nope! And have him die just like his mom, for no reason at all, all alone and too p*ssified to face Kylo Ren face to face.
Want a Star Wars movie without having SJW propaganda shoved down your throat? Nope! Sorry again. Rich people are evil, white men are evil and dangerous, and women are the best thing ever you guys.
Want a story that isn’t too convoluted and bloated with mostly filler that actually answers the questions from the first movie competently without throwing in awkward jokes at random times and has good character development? Sorry, this movie isn’t for you. But hey, at least Kylo Ren is supreme leader now and Rey is a Jedi. Because she lifts rocks at the end.
Subverting expectations is exactly what I’d call this. Because it sh*ts on your expectations.

You mean it wasn’t cringeworthy at the end with that dialogue? Where Finn is talking about it being worth it to wreck the town but Rose thinks it’s only worth it when they release that one animal? That was pretentious as frick considering they’re trying to save the resistance (RE: universe)
like I said, worst sequence of the movie. The only part I straight up didn't like at all.

We don't know that for certain yet. Kylo-Ren was clearly pulling out all the stops to manipulate Rey in that moment.

Yeah, real subtle.

The point is that this movie did absolutely nothing to further the story. Like, nothing at all.

Waited 40 years for Luke to kick arse, and then he just floats away.

Star Wars is turning into the Marvel universe. Instead of telling a story we just get random space battles and light saber duels.
You people are insane.
This is the deepest, most layered Star Wars movie ever made.
I suspect there is a good bit of trolling going on in this thread.

I’d call you the troll before anyone else.

Akbar is dead.
Resistance Fleet is dead.
Kylo-Ren is now the Supreme leader of the First Order, which lost most of its fleet as well.
Luke is dead
The Jedi orders rules and philosophies are dead
Anyone can wield the force
Those with money don't care who rules the galaxy as long as they can sell weapons to them and whomever they're fighting.
Rey flirts with the dark side.
Basically, the entire fate of the galaxy is now in the hands of Ray, Leah, and Kylo-Ren. They will decide what the galaxy will look like.

Did he appear that way because that's how Ben remembered him the last time they met? I initially thought he decided to clean himself up after snapping out of his depression.

frick off.
You are being ridiculous.
You are posting way too much to have sincere thoughts. You are just trying to get a rise out of people.

So it was a setup movie. Why did we have TFA again?
