I like that they're bringing in a young team to back it up, so it's not the usual old Star Trek guys jogging around out of breath.

I wonder if we are going to see the Enterprise F (which I would guess is in service by now) at any point.

This.

If they want people to watch a show called Picard they’re going to need TNG nods and cameos but in a show full of aliens, time travel, and space travel I don’t think any of us could suspend our belief watching a team of geriatrics save the universe.

Well, I have, but I don't want to go through that with the Next Gen and DS9 crews. The geriatric ST:TOS crew was enough.

Was that Seven of Nine in the trailer? I guess I need to watch Voyager?

It was. Looks like she'll have a significant role.

But she isn't old like the TNG cast.

They may all be old, but Data doesn't suffer from the effects of aging so he should be just as awesome as always.

I don't. I want the crew back. It's what the real fans want. All these new characters will likely akin to the Discovery/Rian Johnson Star Wars cast. Complete shite.

They don't even have Worf or Geordi as recurring cast, wtf.

Looks like Riker bought Kirk's cabin from Star Trek Generations.

That works because her character is younger than both of theirs, Picard by a good bit.

Remember Voyager doesn't begin until a year after TNG ends, and then Seven doesn't get to Voyager until they've been in the Delta Quadrant for 5 years, and she's in her late 20s at that point.

Picard is 40+ years older than her

Except that Patrick Stewart is 28 years older than Jeri Ryan (who is now 51, baws, and as good as she looks, never forget she brought down America ).

And, with few exceptions (long-lived races, Vulcans, Romulans, Androids, Holograms, etc.), they generally have the human characters the same age as the actor playing them.

Did anyone else think that one Vulcan guy looked more like a Tolkien/Jackson Elf than like a Roddenberry Vulcan?
