Movie was awesome but how to Strange’s spell erase the book “Flashpoint” and all of the media documenting Peter Parker being Spider Man?

I assume if the magic is strong enough to literally pull people from other universes than it is strong enough to erase some books, hard drives, etc.

This movie is poised to cross 1Billion today in the span of one week. It’s impossible not to see this as a referendum on the current state of entertainment.

So why is nick fury in space?

Saw the movie last night. Loved it! All the best parts have been mentioned, but yeah when Garfield caught MJ that hit me in a way I wasn't expecting.
I think I want to go see it again.

It was addressed in the end scene of WandaVision and will be addressed in Captain Marvel 2.

You didn't see the Far From Home post credit scene? He's on assignment with the Skrulls.

So Ned will become hobgoblin
Way too many references
And even the Halloween reference in the coffee shop

Um… it’s magic. That’s how.

Just saw it today. Maybe this has been addressed in this thread, but 1 plothole bugs me.
The spell just erased people’s memory of Peter Parker right? It didn’t actually change anything that Peter did in the past. At least that’s how understood it.
So what happened to Mysterio’s video naming Peter as Spider-Man? Shouldn’t that have still been out there? Now maybe everyone who saw it would be like “who the F is a Peter Parker?” But they would have still heard his name as spider mans true identity

Everything related to Peter Parker is gone. It’s like he never existed.

I think what will end up happening is basically people can't retain any information about Peter Parker feom before the spell and their brains will reject it and move past. It's a charm spell, not a reality spell. So the book still exists, but people just vaguely recall it's about Spiderman. I think it's something that's happened in the comics.

When that cop or whoever
I didn't pick up on the lawyer being Daredevil at the time, but I did roll my eyes at how the film made the whole "everyone is in legal jeopardy" intro just disappear (except for Happy) with a wave of Murdoch's hand.
And in general I find Holland's Spidey to be The Whiniest Avenger. Yes, I know he's a teenager, but dammit, it's annoying. Was glad to finally see some maturation and character development from him.
Second half of the movie was much stronger than the first, IMO.

Really? I’m not a comic book guy but even I knew immediately who he was before he even said a word.

I mean it is a comic book thing but the DoDC was in Spider-Man Homecoming as well.

Tony Stark founded it to clean up the mess after the events of the first Avengers. They were the ones that took the clean up contract away from Adrian Toomes in Homecoming which inspired him to be the Vulture and steal from Stark.

The one thing that didn't make sense was when Strange separated Peter from his body, why was his body still able to keep the box away from Strange?
Late to the party but… Spider Sense and a maybe an Easter egg nod to Madame Spider who had reality abilities in at least one version and maybe that gets added to his abilities. Otherwise. Spider Sense.
Anyway. Easy Top 3 MCU movie for me and maybe top 3 period. They handled the large cast to perfection.
I loved the Spider-Bro moments between all of the Parkers. It worked to perfection and all the different kinds of slightly different personality quirks but essentially the same based on experiences was masterfully written. Anyone who says Garfield was a shitty Spiderman can frick off after his intro. Loved the continued nod back to Tobey’s back. Loved all the eggs from every Spidey movie in fact.
Defoe absolutely crushed and stole every scene he was in. frick. There hasn’t been a Spiderman villain that’s matched his intensity.
“Can the Spidermen come out to play.” Jesus. It’s like he just stepped back onto the set in character.
I was surprised and impressed with them finally killing off a Parker relative in Aunt May. I thought they’d stick with just Tony but damn. He’s lost both his surrogate mother and father figures now. Tobey’s version definitely got off the easiest emotionally in losing people close to him.
Cumberbunch is awesome as Strange and I can’t wait for the Dark Strange almost crossover from the What If show.
So Wong confirmed now as Sorcerer Supreme by technicality. Lol. Love it. Wong is the shite.
I’m okay with Eddie being a different reality. The Carnage movie was a hot pile of disappointing shite.
Loved that Garfield’s Spidey got the redeeming moment of saving the girl this time. Again. Masterfully done.
And lately:
Thank frick they let Foxx be Foxx.
And hells to the yea in OG Spiderman costume at the end. Can’t wait for a college age Spiderman movie where’s he rougher around the edges.
PSS.
Murdock fricking IN and clearly has his powers. Give me that Daredevil right into my veins!

Also, I doubt we see MJ and Ned seeing as how they’re in MIT. That’s 200 miles from the city
That’s a good point. I wonder if for the college years, they create a new love interest. This MJ wasn’t Mary Jane Watson. So maybe this Parker’s big love isn’t MJ, but someone else. Maybe Gwen (which I suppose could be a retread of Garfield) or my personal favorite, they introduce Felicia Hardy’s Black Cat.

No, but she was Michelle Jones Watson.

Right. I’m just saying they’ve entertained certain liberties with interpretations with changes to certain characters. So she’s MJ, but not classic MJ. And I tend to think Black Cat works better at least for a film or two with the rougher, poor, on his own Parker than his previous version.
