The Cinema Sins for this movie was one of their best.

Whatever you think about the movie, Sandra Bullock looked fantastic.

one summer in the mid-90s (1996 I think), my parents took me, my little sister, and my cousin to the movies. They let us go watch A Very Brady Sequel while they saw A Time to Kill. Our instructions were to come find a seat in their theater when our movie was done (I was 11, sister was 8, and cousin was 12).
Of course, the moment we sit down in A Time to Kill, Sandra Bullock was having her clothes ripped off down to her black panties. 11 year old me was absolutely mezmerized I could hear my mom being upset that we saw that

I am embarrassed to say that I've never seen it. Was it a major product of its time and place or would it still be fun to watch now for the first time even in a hokey kinda way?
If you sub in Bruce Willis for Keanu Reeves it would arguably be the second best Die Hard movie.
