This type of character is more in the wheelhouse of what South Park likes to make fun of more so than critiquing standard politicians.

This is true, they have gone after Clinton for his sexual stuff and after Gore for being a holier than thou climate douche, but that's really it.

Regardless of who or what you support you have to admit Trump spends all day tweeting obnoxious insults, inflammatory nonsense, childish humor, and gets furious when someone does the same back to him.

You want to jump into the ring of insult wars, free speech, and public persona eventually you we’ll find yourself on the receiving endend of a heavyweight . South Park is the undisputed champion.

I remember the end of one episode with Mr. and Mrs. Obama being aliens and something like 'let's keep them, it looks like a good future." I know that wasn't the ending words, but it was a positive for the Obamas.

I don't remember them being super critical of Obama. But they also weren't super critical of Bush. Think theyve only really taken "shots" at Trump but he also is right up their alley of people to make fun of so idk

How was this funny? Talking about Trump suing everyone for the entire time and talking about a small penis. There was nothing clever there? Cartman was pretty funny all episode.

They pivoted and turned Trump into Saddam. It was a brilliant move and it makes too much sense. Yeah they hammered home the “I’ll sue you” but only because Trump sues when he gets attacked and it ties in to the the entire Paramount drama.

Was more talking in explicit, literal, depictions but yes that is fair

But i thought they treated Bush rather kindly, especially when you consider how most of the media treated him, when it came to the 9/11 episode and the Family Guy/Muhammad episode

They said he was responsible for 9/11. I do see what you’re saying as in they picked their shots but they most definitely shite on him during his presidency.

Obama is the one they didn’t attack but to be fair - Obama was likable and made it difficult to pick on him. They went easy on Trump his first term all things considered. This episode was the first time they’ve really taken the gloves off and gone hard after him.

they said that they played into the conspiracy and that if 1/4 of the population is dumb and will believe in a conspiracy, why not let them and have them believe the government to be all powerful

yea this is true. I don't even remember Obama having much of a place in the show at all but I might just be forgetting

He didn't. Really only one episode with him that actually did anything witht he character, and that was the jewel heist episode.

They did do a good job with the hysteria of people that voted for him, when he won the election. That was a great Randy episode.

Season 16, Obama Wins!

quote:

When Kyle discovers Cartman has stolen Romney's votes on behalf of `Obama', the democrat in Kyle pushes him and his pals to find the missing ballots whatever the cost. In a saga so confusing that only `Morgan Freeman' can explain it, Cartman and co. find themselves wrapped up in the world of politics and Disney. With the battle over the rights to `Star Wars' being the real prize Who will win?
