I thought this episode was OK. 3 episodes in and still NO Randy? He hasn't been in one small scene.

"s no matter how funny (or unfunny) the shows are. Last nights was just okay. It was funny, but mainly because of the rednecks/took our jerbs thing. It just could have been exponentially funnier had they incorporated Randy in somehow...and there were several times when that could have happened. So that was disappointing. I felt like the show started off pretty funny, and then slowly tailed off.
I usually try to rank the episodes in my mind...either above average, average, or below. All in all, this episode was decent/average; I'd say middle of the pack of all the shows. For reference, I thought last week's was one of the best episodes in a long time, and in the upper echelon of SP shows (maybe top 20 or so).

last night's ep was one of those eps that wasn't really funny, but it was a really good stand alone ep
these aren't amazingly funny eps (entity, kenny dies, last week, etc), but they're not the oprah episode either
episodes in this genre, to me, are like the lotr ep, WOW ep, etc. usually if there's an attempt to copy a copyrighted product, when done well, it turns into one of these episodes. enjoyable to watch, done well, but just not funny

In the long run I think people that complain about episodes are just looking for something to complain about..because it's the cool thing to do not to like soemthign too much.

the show hasn't really changed throughout the "glory years" ..maybe the people that don't find it funny anymore sense of humor has changed.

I agree with that.
But I wouldn't put it into the LoTR, Kenny Dies, or WoW category...because those were GREAT episodes IMO. Make Love, Not Warcraft is my favorite SP episode of all time (and the funniest), so I wouldn't put last night's on par with that one.
