Looking for suggestions for my next show to watch.
Seen and really liked:
Arthdal Chronicles
Crash Landing on You
My Country
Mr. Sunshine

Started and will eventually go back to:
Uncanny Counters
Mr. Queen
Hospital Playlist
Kim’s Convenience
The King: Eternal Monarch
Space Sweepers
I’m looking for something quality like Arthdal or My Country. Historical fiction is a favorite but it doesn’t need to be that. I have Netflix, Viki Pass and Prime.

That’s one more than I made it through. I will eventually try it again but I feel like I’m probably missing some really good shows.

The special effects are terrible, and the soap opera music is a bit cheesy, but it has kept my interest. I like the story, and the chicks are hot. Thanks for the suggestion.

If you liked that show try out Regal
About a cop whose fiancée is murdered and his eyes are gouged out
He is then brought into a “secret” team of bionic powered agents - given bionic eyes (that have a very unique unforeseen twist).
Then he gets revenge.
ETA: I’d call this a really good show but not as good as Arthdal and My Country (the GOATS)

I don’t think I could eat with any Korean. All that sucking in grossed me out. Smacking nonstop

And what’s the deal with having like 50 plates/bowls for every meal?

Stranger Season 2 is out. It’s a decent detective show. I get the impression after watching a few of these SK shows that they love Subway over there

I am watching Misaeng on Netflix now. It is mostly about corporate/office culture in South Korea. The main story is about a kid with a GED that gets a special placement as an intern in with top graduates of the best schools in Korea. He is constantly hounded by bosses and the other interns, but he sticks with it.
I worked in Korea for many years, and the depiction of the corporate culture is spot on.

Just finished Rugal
It finishes very well. I highly recommend.
Also Kim’s Convenience Store is a gem. I’m only on the first season, but, so far, this is one of the funniest shows running today. Added bonus - it’s in English.

I don’t think Six Flying Dragons has been mentioned here but I HIGHLY recommend it. It’s the story of Bang Won from a child through taking the throne. I think fans of My Country will really like it.
I didn’t think I was going to like the actor playing Bang Won but he’s exceptional. There are some great friendship/relationships going on. Moo Huyl is one of my favorite characters ever on a drama (another great actor).
The con(s) of the show are that it’s 50 episodes and it’s blocked in the US from all “legal” channels. I watched online on dramacool.com and all seems to be well but I never clicked on anything except the video. Some episodes are on YouTube but Seoul Broadcasting keeps getting them blocked.
The 50 episodes aren’t a big deal because I never felt like there were any filler episodes. Some episodes were just good but most were great.
It’s also a prequel to another show called Tree with Deep Roots (what I’m watching next).

Finished Alchemy of Souls, Bulgasal, and Memories of Alhambra
Alchemy of Souls is GOAT level up there with Arthdal
Bulgasal Immortal Souls is close to GOAT level - has some fantastic moments in it
Memories of Alhambra is a little slower by great as well
3 for 3 on high quality story telling. I recommend all three.
