This might be the dumbest criticism possible.

Wow! Your parents sound horrible or maybe you are just a liar. In the latter case you’re horrible

Will there be any Oscar buzz for this movie?

Never been this difficult
Holy Shite this happened to me. Full theater opening day at 1pm and the movies audio was messed up. They claimed they couldn’t fix it. This was in Mississippi. I don’t know why my conspiracy theorist tendencies didn't find it strange. They made us leave and we had rescheduled for later or get refund. Most people came back later that night.
Maybe that’s not what was happening but maybe it was.
Apparently this is happening all over the country

I just got out from seeing it. Anyone that knows me personally, knows that I have a huge soft spot in my heart for children. I think it came from how I grew up.
So that was very hard to watch. Tim Ballard and anyone else who risked their lives to help him in Colombia are heroes.
It really is sad and telling at the same time that a movie that brings to light such a horrible issue is being attacked and/or minimized. One thing any decent person, or parent should be able to agree on is we need to protect our children. They are the most defenseless and innocent among us.

They oversold the theater the night we went. At least two other groups of people tried to claim our seats. The management at the theater somehow got it sorted out before the film started.
I’ve never seen that happen before.

Can anyone explain why the MSM are so dead set against this movie and committed to deriding its message?
From what I’ve read, it has nothing to do with the movie, but wild comments Caviezel made while promoting the movie.
Something about an elitist cabal that traffics kids to drain their blood for a specific hormone.
Caviezel basically undermined the movie and its message with crazy allegations (ie. Q anon conspiracies).

As has been mentioned, this movie was written & made years ago, well before QAnon was even a thing.
So can you cite where these claims specifically have been made by the actor? With regards to adrenochrome .
And what if it is true?
Having heard only a handful of interviews, that specific angle of this story was never brought up. It was simply the trafficking of young ones.
Isn’t that enough?

This movie is basically a cult product. Lots of cringe to go around.

QAnon hadn't existed but the mythology of SRA had a long history. QAnon stole SRA memes and proliferated it among its culture.
Even scaling back from the extreme (SRA), the concept of "Strange Danger" has been quite pervasive since I was a child (mid-late 80s). Effectively this is debunked as a real threat (the actual, likely threats are family members and close friends of the family. Abuse by these 2 populations outpaces "stranger" abuse by probably a factor of 100000x).
If you don't think Ballard is using a threatening interpretation this meme to create emotional reactions and promote his organization (especially considering its a Mormon outfit and they eat this stuff up), then nothing will convince you.

That's not some liberal outlet trying to shame him. That's a highly religious outfit promoting what he's saying. So please don't try to attack the source.

they are also promoting "at least it started a conversation" meme heavily without realizing it, I reckon

When the right started calling out the left for "virtue signaling" it was hilarious bc the entire mordern right wing political agenda is built on virtue signaling. It's their entire platform.
And why do they feel the need to astroturf this movies box office numbers? Videos of this movie playing to empty theaters when that showtime was listed as sold out. Giving away free tickets. Apparently there's a QR code at the end of the movie prompting you to buy more tickets to "pay it forward" for other people to watch, even tho those tickets will likely not go to anyone.
90% of sex trafficking of children comes from their own family members. Should focus on that, and the rampant sex abuse in the church. This kind of fantastical human trafficking portrayed in the movie is much rarer, and more likely to happen to adults. People from third world countries offered jobs in other countries and their passports being taken from them and forced into slave labor. Young women approached by sketchy "modeling agencies" and shipped off to another city for a "job", etc.

It reminds me of Passion of the Christ. Here churches would literally buy out the showings for a week so that anyone who wanted could just show up and watch.
Don't forget the viral "they don't want you to see this movie" marketing campaign, with the cherry on top of social media accounts posting how there is an A/C conspiracy at AMC theaters.
