Timmy lee Jones character shooting at Kimble as hes trying to flee that building. He was unarmed and just trying to get away. Yet TLJ shoots at him to kill multiple shots. This doesn’t make sense at all as the movie proceeds to show the audience that tlj character is learning more and more that he could be innocent.

Too many movies sacrifice likely behaviors to add drama.

A U.S. Marshal is not trained to draw their weapon while running through a crowd of people. Even rednecks recognize the stupidity of it.

Even rogue law enforcement officers are unlikely to shoot at a fleeing high profile suspect with a large number of civilian witnesses present and several other law enforcement officers from another jurisdiction also present. Tribalism is real among law enforcement.

It turns me off when directors, producers, and script writers sacrifice accuracy/truth for drama.

It happened when watching Richard Jewel. I lost respect for Clint Eastwood when I learned he was more willing to defame a real person by suggesting they fricked a cop in exchange for information.

It never happened of course. But when portraying a movie based on real facts and presented as a true story, I don’t want to see character defamation.

American Made (the movie about Barry Seal) also strayed far from real life events. They should have just changed the character’s name so we would view it through the proper lens of fiction inspired by real events.

He was an escaped, convicted murderer. CPD had orders to shoot him on sight (at least TLJ said they did at the hotel at the end).
