I mean sure there was political stuff in there but again, I didn't think it was any more overt or heavy than the garden variety exploitation films from the 70s that it was an homage to.

much of the political stuff was played for laughs IMO.

I caught it on cable one night without having read anything about it prior. It was exactly how I imagine someone sitting in a South Austin coffee shop (or maybe East Austin these days) would try to explain geopolitics.

it actually did - cause it came out at the time of all the Arizona Imigration law hoola was getting geared up.

I enjoyed the 1st a lot - it was about what I expected. and i think the 2nd will be just as enjoyable.

its like snakes on a plane - you know execatly what to expect, and if you overthink it - well the jokes on you.
