So, the planet Krypton lives? SPOILER ALERT
Posted by EthanL on 4/24/13 at 4:22 pm00
*SPOILER ALERT*
Dunno if this was discussed yet.
Noticed at the end of the new trailer, Ka-lel makes a reference to his 'world', as if it still exists.
Thoughts? Is Supes 'more super' because he had 30 years + on earth, as opposed to the invading Kryptonians?

Politards just don't belong on this board.
I will bet money that it does not.
Here is the Superman backstory involving Zod if you want to read it:
SPOILERS
Zod starts a rebellion on Krypton (the battle at the start of the trailer) and is defeated. He and his followers are locked in the null zone (looks like he is just sent off on a ship in this movie).
Krypton is then destroyed. The reason Kal-el refers to it as "his world" is because it is "his homeworld". He learns all about his heritage from a computer/hologram of his father in the Fortress of Solitude.
I highly doubt that Krypton isn't destroyed in this movie. It isn't a big deal to change up some of the Superman mythos, but to alter something as big as that would be nuts.
Scruffy's prediction that Krypton survives: <1%

Jesus.. relax man. Its no spoiler. Krypton does indeed make the traditional early exit in the film.

Its a guess. No one knows. How could it be a spoiler if it is 50/50 and no one knows which it will be?

Ok, thanks guys. When someone that appears to me as new on the MTV board posts what looks like a crappy spoiler attempt for an upcoming movie, I don't even read the OP and just assume straight assholery.
Take care gents.

spoiler alert....I have read and heard there is no kryponite in this reboot so I guess Krypton must be hanging around out there

Sometimes a story point doesn't mean anything more than it is. Kryptonite doesn't show up in the movie. That's it. That just means it doesn't which makes complete sense with the choice of villains.
Krypton is not "hanging around" other then in many small pieces.
Feel free to continue speculation but just in case anyones worried about spoilers..don't.
still....the guy is a fricking idiot. You put the spoiler in the thread title and then follow it with an alert in the post? It didn't end up being a spoiler, but this idiot thought it was.
I don't know all that much about superman, so I thought it was

I gotta agree with Scruffy. I took at as him just explaining to Lois that on his world, the S Symbol means hope.
Not that it meant Krypton wasn't destroyed.
