There was one episode where it unfurled all it's feathers - spooked the frick out of me.
Bryan Fuller, the showrunner, had this to say this week about the Ravenstag-
quote:
FREDDIE: Tell us about the Ravenstag.
BRYAN: RavenStag is a manifestation of Will’s subconscious mind. It is the amalgamation of the severed stag head from Aperitif and the ravens picking at the dead girl mounted on its antlers. Essentially, this is Will’s very first association with the true Hannibal Lecter, he has yet to meet.
Tonight was great - can't wait until we get the role reversal of the ending scene. Next time with Dr. Lecter in the jumpsuit and behind bars and Will coming to visit the imprisoned psycho path.
I'm glad Alana is going to get Will's dog - I was worried about them.
And Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelson have done a great job - I love their performances in this and they are both pretty easy on the eyes.

Regarding the finale, I particularly liked the ending where they used the music from the opera scene in "Hannibal" for Hannibal coming face to face with Will.
I was skeptical at first, but this series has absolutely blown all of my expectations out of the water. It's written so well, shot with incredible style, and just makes my skin crawl.
Kudos to NBC for greenlighting Season 2.
I was never a big X-Files fan, but Gillian Anderson has my attention now and looks leaps and bounds better today than she did in the '90s.
Can't wait for next year and to see how Will proves his innocence from inside of an asylum.

This season was incredible and really got me hooked. I was always a huge fan of the movies, but I was really skeptical about the show. The actors and writing have been phenomenal though.
Also LOVED the opera music from the movie Hannibal playing at the end. They did the same thing when Hannibal killed Tobias and he played the piano at the end. It was music from the movie. Gave me chills!
This has turned out to be my favorite show on tv right now.

Just finished the episode-this show is on top of the movies for me right now. I still can't believe it's on NBC.

So does Skully know Hannibal is a serial killer?
Seemed to be hinting @ that

According to an interview I read, Will also has the same prisoner number on his jumpsuit as Lecter does in SoTL.
Love, love, love this show.
Love, love, love this show.

i could be wrong, but when she and hannibal were dining together, i got the impression that she knows a lot more than i figured she did.
Posted on 6/22/13 at 4:29 pm to LordSnow
Well she certainly sees something. Telling him that he attracts murderers as patients and that others are gonna start noticing says tons lol
And while I liked the xfiles, I never found her overly attractive
But now wowsers
ETA: haven't been a big network watcher for years but I love this show. Easily for me the best thing on the networks

Will's walk to face Lecter in the cell also mimicked Hannibal's to meet Clarice in Silence.

It was almost in the back of her mind she knew she was eating Abigail.

i think she knew it and didn't care...so i think there may be a lot more to her relationship with hannibal than what has been hinted at so far.
Posted on 6/22/13 at 6:39 pm to pussywillows
Well...there was definitely an implication that there was something else up with the patient that tried to kill her.
Posted on 6/22/13 at 8:29 pm to rondo
yeah, i just mean that i think it may be a lot more involved than i originally suspected.

same here. I thought she was almost just filler, a side trip to see Hannibal as a patient and not a dr
but she's got more than that IMO now
She knows much more than we think she does or did I believe
9 months till it comes back
damn that sucks
