I'm interested to know if the people that liked the movie follow or have ever followed the comic book.

I think people unfamiliar with canon may like the movie but people that know the backstory may not.

And anything is better than X3. I am so sick of characters with 40 years of back story being killed off in movies. I mean X3 killed off 3 main characters. More than that if you count mutants that took the anti mutant drug.

Not just comic books movies that do this. In along came a spider, they killed off a main character in a later Alex Cross story.

The comic crowd seem to like Ryan Reynolds as Dead Pool but they hate the story in the movie.

Good to hear, but I will watch this one in theatres. Glad the initial buzz is good.

Well it really isn't. Maybe it is here but the vast majority of people on AICN hated every minute of it. But they are also probably comic fans mad at changes made to canon.

Well it is not a AICN review. It is just a talkback / forum.

AICN put out a article condemning the downloading of the movie.

Funny how all these sites started out releasing information, scripts, mvie clips that in many cases were confidential, but now that they rely on the studios for junkets, advertising and other freebies they change their tune.

I mean Harry himself did a review of Attack of the Clones on a pirated copy he saw.

I have no problem with people that are always against piracy. I do have a problem with people that use it, then change their tune once it can effect them.

Maybe i just don't get it but why would you want to watch a crappy unfinished, lo res version of a movie, why not just wait a month.

It isn't as crappy low res version. It is dvd quality without the special effects completed.

I have no interest in seeing it. Either crappy or completed.

Well, I have to say I liked it a lot. I'm a fan of the comics as well. They did a little bit of chopping and re-arranging, but overall the fights were great and even without some of the effects, it was well done. It seemed to have similar elements of the X-men series without feeling like Bryan Singer had anything to do with it(which is good to me- can't forgive him for Superman Returns). Jackman is great as Wolverine, Liev Schreiber actually puts a little menace back into Sabertooth. Ryan Reynolds could have been in Blade 3. I really liked Gambit in the movie. SPOILER: there is one fight scene in New Orleans that has a camera following Gambit leaping and running on the top of Jax Brewery with the city in the background that is absolutely beautiful. Wolverines love interest has changed, but she is beautiful and understated(a nice tone) and provides some resonance. I'll buy it when it comes out.

Well the copy you saw is supposedly the one Fox did not like. So if you liked that version then the new version should be even better.

just watched and thought it was damn good. never really followed the comics so not sure the true story of the orgin but thought the story was very good in the movie. amazing how such a high quality copy could leak out. other than the missing effects this was damn near perfect on my livingroom tv (thanks to a memory stick and a ps3) cant wait to see the real version of the final fight because it is gonna be amazing.

There have been other work prints leaked.

Kill Bill was leaked and it was just about perfect.

Hulk was leaked and it was near perfect. I think the leak of Hulk caused Congress to write a new law. Now anyone leaking a movie pre-release is subject to three years in jail if I remember correctly.

Attack of the Clones leaked and it was the completed movie a few days before the release.

I think there have been a few other ones but I remember those.
