Is this what I can expect from the next Star Wars movie?

Why would it be?

I watched it last week. I didn't realize it was mostly filmed in Moab, UT. I've been to almost all the spots where they filmed. It made it harder to watch the film knowing where they were shooting when it is supposed to be on another planet.

He was awful. I will say this wasn't a hastily thrown together movie, but a bad one nonetheless.

i think his point about Disney screwing the pooch as badly on a major movie in space was spot on - I too am concerned that they can pull off a decent SW film.

however i also was majorly concerned about the Avengers - but that turned out ok in the long run.

John carter wasn't that bad. Certainly better than episode I.

I thought this thread would be how they are basically the same story and I was going to say that lucas stole a lot from john carter storyline.

This was a great but terribly publicized movie.

OP's intent to shite all over the movie is misplaced.

However, feel free to shite all over SW Eps. 1-3.

You've been gone too long Fox.

John Carter is well liked here. It was a fun adventure film. I'm actually dissapointed that we won't see a sequel.

This. I never saw it because the previews didn't look great and it got smashed by so many people, but I really REALLY liked it.

Liked it as well. It's problem was that about 7 kids knew who John Carter was.

I really liked the movie, extremely sad they aren't going to carry on the story because of bad viewer turnout.. could have been a great series.

Star wars was gritty. Everything was junky and used. It was real.

My intention is not to shite on JC, but more to the point of how Disney handles the science fiction/fantasy genre. Which is to say, not up to the standards of star wars and empire.
