So Disney has cancelled Scarlett Johansson led Tower of Terror film? Ouch!

Looks like they are cutting ties with her completely
Disney basically sucks, but she should be wealthy beyond her wildest dreams because of that company. Then she publicly turns on them, because they got boxed in by a global pandemic?
I think it was a dumb move on her part. And will now cost her many more millions than she would have gained in her lawsuit

The Mouse tried to use a pandemic to pay their stars less money than they should have. It is beyond fricked up, and they should be raked across the coals.

ScarJo was completely in the right suing them IMO. Her payment was mostly dependent on theater sales, and Disney released it for streaming on D+ without restructuring her contract beforehand so she got nothing from the D+ streams (despite them costing $30), and the theatrical release numbers were unusually low for obvious reasons. She got hosed.

HBO/Warner and other studios compensated stars for box office rights fairly. Disney was typical Disney and didn’t compensate stars like other studios. Now they are attempting a smear campaign to get the exact reaction you’re giving

Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. Scarjo had a good thing going. She got greedy. Now she’s out. Disney controls their own narrative. The mouse is still gonna get it’s cheese while she gets blackballed. Dummy.

For trying to enforce a contract that both parties willingly entered into?
If the contract didn’t have a force majeure provision that would’ve covered this, that’s on Disney.

It is Disney that is fricking up here.
First they ban Gina Carano and now Scarlett.
They ruin Star Wars and piss off that fan base.
They are making their movies and theme parks as woke as humanly possible. Story and entertainment are secondary to their SJW crusade.
They are doing terrible damage to their brand. They are even now distancing themselves from Walt himself.
They will never go under due to sheer size, IPs, and a 100 years of goodwill built up. But I do see them taking a step back in the years to come. It is already happening.

It doesn't matter if you are on Team Disney or Team ScarJo's side or even hate both. If you sue a company for 50 million dollars it shouldn't surprise you it you have all ties with that company severed.

If you cheat your talent out of millions, and instead give the money to the top execs. . .proving that you knew you were cheating the talent. . .you shouldn't be surprised by a lawsuit
