So, Dumedore was a gay who had gay for Grindelwald and couldn’t fight him because of their gay love vow? Stellar job. J. K. Rowling. Way to really frick it all up for SJW cause. Stupid bitch.

The writing and dialogue was painful.

I enjoy the world but these movies are total snoozers

Agree, huge fan of the HP books. I have faith they can pull this thing out, but it requires that the young Dumbledore character takes the lead from here.

This also requires that he starts getting involved in some higher mystery magic stuff, and not be focused on his love life with an albino pirate.

Nobody is paying to see that shite and to be honest, anyone with kids would probably avoid if they push it much further.

Well done OP. This is a thread I can get behind.

We’ve known he was gay for over a decade.

Rowling has a bad habit of making shite up after the fact and pretending like it was that way all along to get woke street cred.

Also, while the first magical beasts was boring but not horrible, Crimes of Gridelwald was just bad in every single sense of the word. And you can't blame someone else for that, it's all on Rowling since she wrote it.

Yep. She was woke over her own lack of black people in her movies. She randomly came out and said there were plenty of black people at Hogwarts, they just weren't written in and weren't shown in the movies.

There are so many other reasons to attack that pile of crap. It was like someone wrote a sequel only knowing the names of the characters from the first movie and none of the plot details.

As annoying as that stuff is, the Dumbledore gay storyline makes sense when you consider the story of him and Grindewald bonding over that summer, and then Dumbledore's reluctance to go face him until it was absolutely necessary.

Agreed that that bit of info doesn't really help the lore at all, but it isn't a reach like a lot of her garbage is.

The people that are obsessed with Harry Potter have apparently known Dumbledore was gay for a very long time. I don't know how or why they came to that conclusion, but I'd heard that opinion from people years before this movie.

Rowling straight up came out and said he was gay (can't recall if it was before or after the 7th book was released). This shouldn't be any big revelation with the Fantastic Beast movies unless you're completely brand new to the Harry Potter universe.

Definite drop off in quality with Fantastic Beasts, but I don't think Rowling cares as much as she use to.

She use to be very anti video game and junk for kids. Now she doesn't care how many mystery surprise toys or video games come out for Potter merchandise. Seems like she just wants to make money off it now.

Rowling is a big SJW, you are going to see that in her world. People write about what they like and know. If you don't like that, her stories are probably not for you.

The Harry Potter books are great, even the first couple that are geared more towards kids, and even though it made for a boring movie, the exposition of Voldemorts past in Half Blood Prince was my favorite bit of story telling in that whole series. I could live without ever seeing the movies again and FB is it's own thing that I can easily ignore.

Me and my wife are big HP fans and we finally watched the first one.......it ended pretty well but it took a long time to figure out what it was. I did like newt as a character and his muggle baker friend. Didn't hear a lot of good stuff about CoG so we haven't bothered with that one yet.

I'm a fan of HP as well. There are some decent parts to CoG, Newt and Jacob are highlights once again. The Dumbledore stuff wasn't jarring to me as it was to others and I fully expect to see him wreck shite soon. There are some shoehorned fan-service moments that actually harm the film and universe as a whole. It's not total dogshit but it's worth a view since you enjoy HP.
