I just finished watching "Best of Cheri Oteri" dvd and I forgot how funny she was on SNL. It got me thinking, how would you rank the all time best SNL players ever.

1. Gilda Radner
2. Cheri Oteri
3. Molly Shannon
4. Jan Hooks
5. Kristen Wig
6. Jane Curtain
7. Maya Rudolph
8. Rachel Dratch
9. Amy Poehler
10. Ana Gasteyer
11. Tina Fey

Honorable Mention

Nancy Walls
Victoria Jackson

Now give me yours...

Kristen Wiig is the GOAT. Followed by Poehler. After that, Rudolph, Shannon, then Dratch. The rest shoulda just stayed home, and that includes Radner. And I have watched SNL since the mid-80s, and I caught a ton of the early stuff on reruns.

Tina Fey did not really act on that show; she primarily wrote and did Weekend Update. I don't include her, although I liked her a lot.

your list is retarded.... for multiple reasons.... maya rudolph should be 11 on that list if on the list at all.
Kristen Wig.... 10 at best.
Tina Fey should be in the top 3.

other than that.. solid list

Are we talking just on SNL?

Cause if not, I say Julia Louis-Dreyfuss.

i feel that this can only be arguable because she legitimately was SNL for 2 seasons because the cast was horrible and she was the only thing carrying that show, so she was in a million sketches... but i can see how the argument is made, i just dont agree with it

Always loved 80's Victoria Jackson...she played a cute dope perfectly.

Jan Hooks and Jane Curtain were probably the "best actresses" - so I'd put them 1 and 2.

Definitely not Gilda or Molly Shannon.

I think the fairly recent SNL cast is the strongest it's been since the early 90s. The writing is the problem.

The Cheri Oteri skit where she was a hypochondriac is one of the best of all time

i for the most part agree. I'd swap maya with amy, and i'd probably have tina ahead of ana. Tina's been great on 30 Rock, but she really didn't do a whole hell of a lot of skits outside of weekend update

Collette Reardon

"Well this morning I was feeling a little sluggish, so I popped a handful of Benzadrine, to get a jumpstart, you know, just a quick pick-me-up. I got errands."

and this one...

"That’s me! So there’s that, on top of the grief, well, you must imagine how depressed I was, luckily I find five tabs of lithium at the bottom of my purse, but Mashigian, my OB/GYN, says I probably shouldn’t mix prescriptions on account of the drinking, Don. So what he suggests? The Dilaudid. Surprise! "
