SNL skit right now is a news show keeping score of the race of criminals...

Basically, there were 2 black anchors and 2 white anchors and they would read off the news while keeping score of races of the criminals in the news that day.
Kinda surprised they did that.
It was funny though.

Sounds like a great idea for a Chappelle's Show skit, except he would have been genius enough to have himself dressed as his typical white guy character and a white guy dressed either as a black guy or a w*gger and show the absurdity of all of it.
I'm sure what snl did was probably not nearly as nuanced and dripped with typical sjw/left wing slant to it, while hitting the jokes too far on the nose.
There's a reason he and his show made as many memorable, timeless, and classic skits in 2 seasons as SNL has in 30 years.

Our next story..
A man was mauled Again by a bison while rock climbing.
(Black reporters, celebrate)
He was in the Utah state park
His name was LeQuon.
(Black reporters upset)
"A man dressed as the joker"
(White reporters groan)
That was a good one.

That was pretty funny......I love how they just skipped over the Latino suspect.
They should have done this when Chappelle hosted and have Clayton Bigsby be one of the perps to blow their minds.

There was a time when SNL was quiet good. But that time has passed long ago. The show was very strong when the cast had people like Norm McDonald, Chris Farley, Mike Mayers, Tim Medows, and others of the same era.

Who was that chick in the red dress? She could barely talk.

Her show, Fleabag, is pretty solid.

I thought this would be funnier than it was. I think Chappele would've nailed it on his show. Like the Racial Draft when Bill Burr and the other white guy would fist bump when the white team made a good pick. That's funnier to me.
BTW, the political cold open for the episode was the worst ever. It looked like it was written by someone off the street. I can usually find something funny in SNL, but this week it was a decent Weekend Update (enough with the Elizabeth Warren) and a shitty remaining show.

She needs to finish her peanut butter before the sketch starts.

SNL has never been a great show.
1 or 2 skits a night are comedy gold
2 are ok
and the rest are terrible.
We tend to watch the best of episodes and think the show was great years ago.
They had great moments but most of the show was pretty meh.

No, they had great years and some shows that were solid almost throughout the entire episode. Steve Martin hosting the original cast were solid shows. Buck Henry closing out each season with the original cast led to some solid episodes (he'd end up doing skits that the other hosts had refused to do, which led to some amazing stuff).
There were points in the 90's when they had packed casts and the majority of the episode was entertaining.

That was solid. This cast has enough talent to do well if the writing is good. Not an all star cast but the show needs the person who wrote this sketch to do more.

Who is the gal in the red dress? Where do I recognize her from?
Oh wait, is that what's her name from that Amazon show .... the one where she is dysfunctional when it comes to relationships and she's always looking to bang something? Runs a coffee and sandwiche shop.
She is oddly alluring for some reason.
