What was the song that was playing over the loudspeakers on Silva's island? That was one of the best things in the movie.

I actually thought Casino Royale was the best bond movie. Really loved it

I think Casino Royale was a little better than Skyfall, but I think they both had great pathos. Was really cool to see Bond's childhood family retreat and have the entire ending take place there.

While Quantum of Solace was "good," it was incredibly boring in comparison to these two.

I liked it. It was no Casino Royale but it was eons better than Quantum. The villain's plan was very ridiculous but it's a Bond film and they always are.

I especially liked how they redeveloped the classic relationship between Bond and Q and Bond and Moneypenny.

Moneypenny is completely unrecognizable from Lois Maxwell's character. I'll give them a pass on Q since no one can ever replace Desmond Llewellyn

Good movie. Ending left a lot to be desired.

Oh, someone wants to kill M. Let me take her to an abandoned home in the middle of nowhere without backup or ordinance.

You apparently missed the part where Bond was shocked to find that all of his weapons had been auctioned off when they thought he was dead.

Instead of hiding there, lets send a signal to the bad guys to let them know where were are and lure them into our trap.

This was done before Bond & Co. discovered they were "unarmed" at Skyfall.

I loved the movie. It definitely hearkened back to "old school" Bond.

Skyfall was great until the Third Act, IMO. It just got a little too ridiculous. However, the last scene in M's office was badass.

Casino Royale is a better, more complete movie.

The cinematography was completely borrowed from Inception. The villain escape plot point stolen from The Dark Knight. And the ending, sadly, from Home Alone. A hack job if I ever saw one. Frankly, I liked Quantum better, but neither comes close to Casino Royale--which is the ONLY Bond film that is in the same stratosphere with the Connery films.

The Adele song rocked, tho...

Skyfall was great, but I don't think it's better than CR/QOS. I really did like the back-to-basics approach of the film though, and the plot was simply yet effective.

I'm not a Bond expert, but it felt like there was a split in the middle of the movie (about the time when Bardem's character escapes) where it changed into something that didn't feel like a Bond movie, but more of just a standard action flick. I still enjoyed it.

the only really breathtaking scene imo was the skyscraper fight. the cinematography was excellent

the scene where Bond first confronts Silva on the island is a fantastic shot. that long stationary shot with him walking the length of the frame is a great job by Mendes. overall the film is just beautifully shot, and I think it's on par if not better than Casino Royal as far as action and plot goes .. only thing it lacks that CR had was a cool factor and the novelty of being the first of the new Bond films.

You forget the Hunting rifles were missing not the weaponry needed to realistically stop the villain and his crew.

sorry but bond was as dumb as the old school bond villains.

The first 3/4ths were great.

The ending was a major letdown

The NOC list was from Mission Impossible 1, too.

I guess I should restate my OP..... I thought Skyfall was the best-MADE Bond film since Goldfinger.
