Ted was on Rich Eisen a couple of months ago. Great interview if you're a fan.

Harrison Ford is actually one of my least favorite characters.
He plays grumpy old guy in this series and it’s tedious.

McGinley is awesome in this role.

Christa Miller is in joker territory with the fillers and Botox. If her husband wasn’t the show runner she wouldn’t be in the show. That said, I kinda like her character.

Gaby is one of the most obnoxiously written characters in recent memory. Half her dialogue is about her vagina and/or sex. She’s like a female comedian from central casting. She’s just not funny.

I started off liking this show but the longer it goes the less I like it.

Great great finale- I was fixing to get all up in my feels if Jimmy hadn’t shown up at the train station.

The gf and I watched the final scene all-but screaming at the TV with our eyes partially closed. I kept telling myself that would be too destructive for them to ever be able to work the show back to some sort of positive conclusion. Thank god it didn’t happen.

Harrison Ford’s speech had both of us doing legit waterworks, so epic good.

Really hope they end it at 3 like promised. This show is so good it’s absurd.

I like the show but it started turning into Cougar Town for me. Kept waiting on Courtney Cox to show up

Pretty much a short version of how I feel. Grumpy old guy with a soft spot isn't anything new. The novelty that it's Harrison Ford/Luke Skywalker playing that type of character doesn't really do anything for me. But like I said, I don't dislike the character and his scene opening up about his disease actually made me tear up, but his character is tedious.

It's so bad. But I agree, I actually like her character. In S1 it was actually weird how much every character hated her and constantly told her to F off. I was like man they need to give this broad a break.

I like her. Seems like I'm in the minority with that. I watch a lot of stand up and my least favorite stand up is women talking about their vagina non stop (which is most femal comedians). It's just not funny. But Gaby's sex humor is a little more witty and not as trashy. I legit lol'd when she was telling the story about having to wear a wrist brace to her senior prom because of a hand job she gave IMO, they are trying to make her style a little similar to Hannah Einbinder/Ava's character on Hacks. Gabby is not nearly as funny and depends on way more sex jokes, but kind of similar. Hacks is the funniest female comedy I've ever watched. I'd recommend that to anybody that hasn't watched it.

I personally like S2 a decent amount more than S2. Hoping S3 brings more Louis, which I'm sure it will since him and Jimmy are now talking.

I think TL season 1 is better than anything in shrinking or the rest of TL. Shrinking is better than the 2nd and 3rd seasons of TL.

Shrinking started off with a bang in season 2. The last 6 minutes was prime scrubs Bill Lawerence written all over it when that garden state esque song started. I never realized his wife was killed by a drunk driver. Did they mention that in season one? I just knew she was killed in a car accident.

The Janitor

Shrinking is such a great show. I love the concept and how season 1 is about grief, season 2 will be about forgiveness, and the next season will be about moving on. It's nice when show runners have a start and end game from the beginning. So many shows start off great and go to shite because they either make shite up as they go and over do it with too many seasons or just never had a vision.

Good take.

Also, for your earlier post about drunk driving, I won't spoil it so you can get there, but I read that Bill Lawrence had a real thing in mind. Enjoy the show!

Did any of the houses they use for filming burn down in the fires?

This season was great and quite the journey.

I was so annoyed by how high and mighty Gabby and Liz were at the beginning of the season that it was really nice to see them make HUGE mistakes, get caught/called out on it, work through what they did, and apologize.

In fact, it was refreshing to see every lead female on that show apologize to a man to his face this season. That’s rare in woke Hollywood these days.

Derek. Damn. He went from goofy beta to omega by the end of the season. His endless optimism wasn’t a punchline this season but the solution to so many characters’ problems. I loved watching them flip where he is in the healthy pecking order this season.

Bravo! Give this show the Emmy over Hacks this year.
