Not exactly cancelled.. but HBO stated a couple months ago that it won't be picking it back up after next season.

I read somewhere that the writer didn't see an end in sight. It just had the potential for 8-9 seasons with all the story lines IMO.

Although they brought it back, Family Guy. Was canceled, then comes out to DVD a few years later to become the best selling DVD of all time, at that time

Seth McFarlane pretty much owns fox now

I liked Heros, got canceled when getting good.

The Black Donnellys was another one for me too. I think when they started fricking around and putting episodes online to try to build online viewership it's ratings got killed.

ETA: Freaks and Geeks is my numero uno but I figured that'd be the consensus around here.

Nobody's mentioned Traveler. I thought that show was badass, had an awesome cliffhanger on the midsession finale, then just cancelled. It's why I stopped watching any new abc show, they just end up canceling it

The one that still pisses me off: Deadwood

Firefly and Freaks and Geeks I can't be surprised about because I didn't watch either of them until a few years after they were canceled. So I am partly to blame

, but those 2 should not have been canceled so quickly. It's ridiculous.

Arrested Development I watched that from day 1 and couldn't believe that was getting the axe.

Rome had lots of good stuff to explore.

Glory Daze was a TBS show I actually thought was really funny. I may be biased because it was an 80's show, but I thought it had great potential. Anyone else like this one?

Some honorable mentions:
Carnivale - Crazy show with good writing/acting
How to Make it - Hot chicks and fun series
Bored to Death - Ted Danson was awesome
And yes, Boardwalk will be going too early as well.

Haven't seen Blue Mountain State, but I think I need to try this one out.
