Of course that would have been nice, but I think without this information rarely exists, especially when you don't have the legal authority to access personal records and information like a police investigation may allow.

I wasn't expecting an "ending". It was just funny how she said there would be one and there really wasn't.

Yea that last episode pushed me back and forth the whole time and then left me confused. I wanted to believe that the killer guy that got out of prison did it but Jay knowing where the car was and having his story throws that theory away. I don't think Adnan did it but who the hell knows.

Are the results of the DNA testing still pending? Did I hear that right?

I guess that depends on how you define ending. It ending is defined as resolution in the case, then that obviously wasn't going to happen. I saw the ending as wrapping up the information up to this point and presenting reasonable information (with journalistic integrity not unverifiable rumours); I think they did that pretty well.

That's my understanding. They just submitted the motion recently.

About the best way she could have ended it. Regardless of what people think, there is just no argument against the fact that Adnan should not have been convicted.

Right. Too much reasonable doubt.

That one juror they interviewed took a very negative inference from Adnan not testifying. They're not supposed to do that.

Did they ever say why he had a jury trial?

All that ending told me is if you ever get charged with a crime, absolutely take the deal like they said.

Those jurors were a bunch of hillbilly morons. Like SK said, regardless of whether you think Adnan did it, as a law-abiding citizen that should have been a 10 sec acquittal deliberation.

Not sure why they didn't do this earlier. Results would have made for a great finale.

Ended about as I expected.

Case was too muddled and there wasn't enough for a conviction.

Now that it is all said and done, I believe Adnan did it. Jay knew where the car was which takes any outside parties off of the table as far as I am concerned. Jay said Adnan did it and as shady as Jay and some of his part in this is, Adnan has never been able to paint a picture as to how or why he could have been framed by Jay as an innocent man.

I'm a bit curious why Adnan had not requested DNA testing years ago if he thinks it could exculpate him.

I agree that he should not have been convicted based upon the available evidence but that does not make him innocent.

Really hope they follow up soon on this DNA testing.

Wasn't there blood found in the car? Why did they not test that?

I binge listened last week and up until the last episode, I figured Adnan was innocent, but today's episode changed that for me. I think the show's producer (?) helped put some things in perspective for me. Assuming no 3rd party killer, I just don't see Jay having as easy of an access point to Hae after school as Adnan would as evidenced by Adnan first telling the cops he asked her for a ride. That seems more plausible than Jay convincing Hae to meet him somewhere through ways other than a phone. Plus, the case has the markings of a premeditated murder so how lucky would Jay be to find out that Adnan offers his car and cell phone to Jay on the same day that Jay plans to kill Hae.

There's no doubt that Jay was involved somehow, he knew far too much.

Well yeah, he pled guilty to being an accomplice for helping bury the body. But I get what you're saying. He was way more involved than he claims, and I still think Jen was heavily involved as well. It makes no sense that he'd help bury the body, nor that she'd help get rid of the shovels and his clothes.

i have decided that this podcast is wayyyyyy overrated. it opens like a fricking kick arse episode of SVU, though.

a couple episodes in, you realize that there can be no resolution, nothing will come of this, and pretty much nothing interesting and new is going to come out throughout the rest of the 9 episodes or so, but you have to listen anyways. like 8 weeks ago, i was counting down the days until thursday and was legitimately excited about this thing for some reason. the last few weeks, i have totally forgotten about it and ended up catching up today just to finish up.

It was a pretty good listen and it was an overall good podcast, but holy shite the media/internet sensation that this thing created was way too much.

This is the part that I don't get. Jay was scared that they would find his prints on this equipment?
