Serbian Film vs Irreversible

I was listening to "The Film Vault"(awesome show) and their theme for the week was top 5 most disturbing films. Anderson, the more knowledgable of the two of films in general but especially foreign films, is kind of fricked up so I knew his films would be crazy shite. He didn't disappoint. "Serbian Film" was number two and sounds like the most fricked up movie i've ever heard of. [Spoilers I guess but you shouldn't want to see this movie] A washed up Serbian porn star with a family gets brought out of retirement for some crazy arse guy who wants to make reality porn that obliterates the envelope. So he starts filming rape porn and kills some guy by skull fricking him and something horrible called "newborn porn" and just really sick sounding shite. THAT WAS HIS NUMBER 2!!! It has me worried because his number 1 (Irreversible)is on my queue somewhere. I definitely don't have what I would call "delicate sensibilities" but I draw the line somewhere at the shite I mentioned above and worse. The way he described Irreversible didn't seem nearly as bad as Serbian Film.
Just basically wondering if anyone had seen one/both of these films and could comment
BTW, "Anti-Christ" was his number 4 and i've seen some of you guys talk about it before.

Irreversible certainly has a disturbing rape scene, but it is actually a good movie and has a point unlike the crap that is Serbian Film.

I liked Irreversible and haven't seen the other one. The sickest movie I've ever seen was Salo.

That's what I was thinking too. He was trying to say how disturbing Irreversible was. Something about camera angles and a barely audible noise that makes people sick when they here it and an 8 minute anal rape scene.....but as horrible as rape is I think i'd rather watch an entire movie of anal rape than something with "newborn porn" in it.

It was the sickest thing I've ever seen on film.
They graphicly show a woman giving birth. Then the "doctor" grabs the baby and begins having sex with it. They don't actually show anything besides a guy holding an obvious doll. But the horrible sound they made the baby make is what made that scene too much for me.
Oh and the main charecter does kill a guy by skull fricking him.
Also :another spoiler: the main character is made to have sex with a covered body. While another man (his brother) has sex with another covered body (his wife), then when he takes the cover off the child he just sodomized, he finds out it was his son.
Yeah, you defiently can't unwatch this movie, it was pretty dumb. Like the only point was to be disgustingly shocking. Makes Human Centipide look like Oscar material in comparison.

Irreversible isn't as fricked up as A Serbian Film. It has some fricked up scenes (the rape and fire extinguisher) but as a whole I don't think anything tops A Serbian Film.

I've seen these types of movies discussed on here from time to time and I always have the same thought; Who the frick actually WANTS to watch shite like this? They offer no redeeming quality whatsoever. I'm all for free speech and all but movies like these are truly disturbing in so many ways. The very fact that he term "newborn rape" was typed more than once in this thread is creepy to me. I think I'll just stick to Disney movies or something.

Ummmm, yeah...no. Movies like these are a far cry from the Freddies/Jasons of the world. I guess as I get older I just feel that any movie that would include "newborn rape" and "death by skull-fricking" should just be pulled from any and all mainstream access. You should have to crawl through a few miles of human waste just to get to the building that houses such movie rentals. And that ONE building in the world should be in Antartica.

Serbian film doesn't look like anything other than the intent to offend. First heard about it on Hogville, and some people were actually promoting that filth.

Try to watch Irreversible while alone. It is streaming on Netflix. If you can make it past the first 20 minutes, you'll probably find it a memorable movie. It has great indie camera-work.

Nah. It was all the ones mentioned above and "martyr". He said that was the only one most people would be ok to see but still disturbing
