For whats it's worth I found this on Wikipedia entry for this episode.

The Puerto Rican Day" was criticized not only for the flag-burning incident, but also for perceived negative portrayals of Puerto Ricans, such as the scene where a mob of angry Puerto Ricans turns its wrath on Jerry's car, and Kramer later utters, "It's like this every day in Puerto Rico!"[1] The episode sparked angry letters, protests outside NBC's Rockefeller Center in New York[2], and complaints from Puerto Rican activists.[1] NBC formally apologized for the episode[1], and later pulled it from summer repeats.[2] However, it later began to appear in syndication, and is featured in its entirety on the DVD set for Seinfeld's ninth season.

I've seen it in syndication like twice, but that was probably a few years ago. I haven't seen it on TV in quite some time.

Features one of the best exchanges in Seinfeld history:

SALES WOMAN: Mr. Pennypacker!

KRAMER: Uh, yes, uh, I--I wanted to, uh, stop by and make sure that my shark tank fits-- uh, hello.

SALES WOMAN: Mr. Pennypacker, this is Mr. Vandelay, And you know Mr. Varnsen

KRAMER: Uh, Varnsen.

JERRY: Pennypacker.

KRAMER: Vandelay.

GEORGE: Pennypacker. Varnsen.

JERRY: Vandelay. Wait a second. Mr. Pennypacker, if you're here, and Mr. Vandelay is also here, then who's watching the factory?

KRAMER: The factory?

JERRY: The Saab factory?

KRAMER (in close): Jerry, that's in Sweden.

I had never seen it until I caught someone streaming the DVD set on JTV. It's a shame because the scenes where they're scheming the realtor are absolutely classic.

Definitely one of the biggest perks of owning the box set is having this episode in rotation. I've never even seen it in syndication, only when I put my DVD in

in that seinfeld 'the chronicle' they air right before they show the finale in syndication, at the beginning of the first highlight collage the scene of kramer in the car is from the puerto rican day parade episode.

"it's like this every day in Puerto Rico".

Pure genius. Leave it to dumb arse Puerto Ricans to not be able to understand the subtlety of the whole thing.

Agent: But there is another bidder?

Jerry: Not Pennypacker???

Agent: yes

Jerry: Well the, Madam - prepare for an all out bidding war!
