I was watching the Masseuse ep. last night on TBS where Elaine trys to get her boyfriend to change his name.
Shes pics O.J.'s name out of a Sports Illustrated magazine.
Ironically they go to a New York Giants football game and Joel hears his name over the loudspeaker and realizes he might need to change it.
The episode aired November 18, 1993
Nicole Brown Simpson murdered june 12, 1994
Very very odd coincident.
Elaine suggests OJ as a new name.
quote:
Elaine suggests that her boyfriend change his name from Joel Rifkin to "O.J." Rifkin (after O.J. Simpson) to avoid being confused with Joel Rifkin, the famous serial killer. Seven months later, O.J. Simpson was accused of murder.

that's not really predicting the future

If they were trying to AVOID his name being a killer's, then she wouldn't have suggested OJ if the show knew the future. She would have picked someone else who wasn't a killer.
In your example, it would be akin to saying "let's change your name to Jeffrey Dahmer Rifkin"

How many people does one have to murder before he is considered a serial killer?
