Seal Team is the new The Unit

I really liked The Unit and this is filling the void, not quite as good but still good to watch!

I think a lot of Navy SEALs are attention whores and this show is actually pretty decent.
My favorite episode is the one where they do a hostage rescue in the Philippines and they have to swim for nearly 55 minutes to the ship to do just that. I also like them being short and sweet about the drama bullshite.
This is a well knit team with the mindset of... "Hell no!!!! We're fricking Frogmen!!! We're not fricking backing down!!!"

I binge watched all 4 or 5 seasons of The Unit about a year ago. It was was a good show that got progressively dumber over time. I guess it's just hard for writers to keep coming up with interesting story lines. By the end of the series, Jonas's wife was fricking killing me.

Exactly. The Unit lost me when they tried to make a storyline for the wives.

The Unit had some legitimately good episodes.
When they got into all the family drama and domestic conspiracy stuff it got weird. I don't know why counterterrorism isn't dramatic enough. Homeland is the same, in a different way.

I get that having a storyline involving the wives/kids gives the show a wider appeal. The problem was when, somehow or another, being married to a member of Delta Force made the wives special operators themselves. Transitive Law, maybe?
