It's a perfect movie for what it is....which is pure late millennial angst.
I don't fit that bucket, so it isn't for me.
I think the 83-93 net is a bit early. Probably more like a 86/87 to 95ish.

Given with the exception of Knives and Wallace that everyone in the movie are pretty awful people, I don't see why people emulated Scott Pilgrim. All the cultural stuff in Scott Pilgrim was around long before the movie came out. Plus it was a box office bomb.
