Needed a couple of days to process it.

Obviously, it is a great film and the nominations are well-earned. It is brutal, though, as the name suggests and one part in particular was gut wrenching to watch.

I knew little about brutalism as an architectural style but learned more after seeing the film. The style, in the movie, becomes a symbol for suffering brought on by not-so-flattering institutions. Think well-educated concentration camp survivor juxtaposed against a Philadelphian landscape being built up by industrial tycoons. I think it handles the contrast well. Without spoiling the ending, which makes the movie, imagine how escaping a concentration camp would affect every bit of your expression for the rest of your life.

Adrien Brody is great as always. This or Emelia Perez will probably win best picture, but my favorite is still Anora.

The film includes a 15 minute intermission should you decide to see it on the big screen.

Fear not. Anora is the frontrunner now after winning Best Picture at the Producers Guild, Directors Guild, and Critics Choice this past weekend.

Debated on going all last week and the week before but kept getting scared away by the run time. Really wish I would have just seen it in the big screen

Yep. Anora has it in the bag barring a major upset.

I watched about a hour of it and turned it off. Couldn't get into it, Brody seemed like he was a retard. The story was boring.
