What did you think about Goslings performance?

I think he did phenomenal job, but I've seen him so fantastic in other roles so I wasn't surprised. Blue Valentine is one of my favorite films.
Such a gorgeous man tho.

What a bunch of pussies up in here. John wick 2 was way better than this SJW bullshite.

I've seen John Wick once and enjoyed it. I'd like to watch it again with more attention to the deeper aspects. I'm sure John Wick 2 will be just as entertaining.
With all that being said, La La Land was a much better film in my opinion. And there were no SJW bullshite scenes or themes. It was a masculine guy and a feminine woman chasing their dreams. For a brief period their paths crossed and their love for each other and their passions in life intertwined for better and worse.
In the end there was no happy ending, just a mutual recognition that they shared something special that was fleeting.
I can appreciate both movies even if they had little in common.

So my dad recently met an actress that has been shooting in NOLA for a few movies/shows. She has been in Concussion, NCIS, that shitty Matt Damon fracking movie, and a few others I cant remember.
she said that when she auditioned for La La Land (she was a singer/dancer before she got into acting, and I dont know what part she auditioned for), the people she auditioned for were EXACTLY as they were depicted in the movie. She said one guy answered his phone and the other two were flipping through other packets as she sang/spoke her lines.
said she got a good laugh after seeing the movie.

I love jazz so that part appealed to me. Was nice seeing musicals presented in a fresh way.
He should've gone to Paris.
