Deadline brings word this afternoon that actor Patrick Wilson has pulled out of Marvel Studios' upcoming Ant-Man due to a scheduling conflict. In addition, actors Matt Gerard and Kevin Weisman are no longer involved in the project as well, though the site reports that their characters were written out of the film in the latest batch of rewrites. Hank Pym himself Michael Douglas confirmed two weeks ago that the cast would be appearing at San Diego Comic-Con, so expect the remaining cast members to pop up during their Hall H panel (tomorrow at 5:30 PM PST!).
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

More Ant-Man exits

Don’t expect Patrick Wilson, Matt Gerard and Kevin Weisman to be at tomorrow’s Marvel Studios Hall H presentation at Comic-Con. That trio has dropped out of the ever morphing Ant-Man movie that has Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas andThe Hobbit‘s Evangeline Lilly starring. The movie has been in some state of flux after director Edgar Wright dropped out over differences in creative vision with Marvel’s Kevin Feige, so not surprisingly there is speculation that the trio’s exit is for the same reason that Wright departed and was replaced by Peyton Reed. Marvel insiders adamantly dispute that.

I'm still impressed at how well they were able to pull off Flash's speed on tv. It turned out better than what I was expecting.

I like how they threw in "Palmer Technologies: Bigger isn't always better" in that promo to pump up Brandon Routh's character.

The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio is being courted to write the Justice League film. Terrio re-wrote the screenplay for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which was previously written by David Goyer and has apparently impressed Warner Bros. Pictures enough that they'd like him to pen the follow-up film. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder is already attached to direct Justice League for the studio.
Although no Justice League cast is official at this stage, the project is likely to again star Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.

The Atom.
That trailer is pretty sick! I'm stoked for the series to start!

He's evolving and may soon become a dominant force on the board.

I still can't believe they are bringing Ray Palmer to Starling City. I wonder how they will work his alter ego into the story, or if they will have him at his pre-Atom stage in his life? But I'm sure whatever path they decide to take with him, it'll be good.

I'm looking forward to it. Might have to check out the graphic novel the movie is based on

That presentation for a "Star City" in the Arrow clip has me curious.

Same here, the city has to be still rebuilding between the glades and the mirakuru army. Wonder if he is pushing a full city rename to stimulate growth.
Side note, do we see Queen become mayor at some point? I thought they had a potential storyline brewing where he would step into the power void after Blood dies, but from the trailer that seems highly unlikely for this season.
Eta: Just watched Amell's Q&A at phoenix Comic-Con. A kid asked him why he fought deathstroke since he was a Batman villain. Amell's answer was "if you like Batman villains, than you are going to love the main villain in season 3." Also made a reference to Thea Queen, in a wondering manner, about being a major villain at some point. Later said the villain he wants to see more than any other on the show is Ra's Al Ghul.

In the comics, it's Star City, not Starling City.
