DC just rebooted. It would be crazy to reboot again. Cast yet another Superman? And Peacemaker has a great cast and other than the last episode the show was pretty good. It ended poorly for the hype but I still want to see where it goes.

I mean never say never but as of now it isn’t getting another season

Because Gunn will and should be focusing on the films. He did too much all at once; PM2, Superman and creature Commandos, while also running the studio. I don't blame him for not going thru that again.

I agree they’ll give him a chance, but Superman lost about $40-50mm based on ticket sales. But was profitable considering the ancillaries like product placement and such
I think there’s a world where, like Rocha mentioned, Supergirl does $400mm, Clayface $200mm and we’ll have to see how Man of Tomorrow plays.
If it comes in under Superman that is a problem

There is zero cultural buzz or interest for the DCU just as a FYI.
Given the rapid decline of theater going and the long talked about comic book movie fatigue finally arriving for real, you couldn't pick a worse time to try to make the DCU a thing again.

lol he placed Peacemaker as the center of his universe. Nobody made him do that and he’s only announcing all this stuff because he’s in trouble. Prior to the poor Superman screenings all this stuff had been slowed way down but when WB knew it was gonna flop and went back to Reeves to reassure him Gunn started panicking and announcing all this stuff.

It fell about 35 million short of breaking even according to Forbes last week

You keep saying this stuff without a shred of evidence. Here, I'll do exactly what you're doing. "Gunns universe is off to an amazing start and he's getting a new 10 year contract." I heard about it on the internet so it must be true.

He really shite the bed putting two lame concert montages in that finale and not allowing Peacemaker a hero moment in his own series
The concerts were like a parody of a Gunn project and people are tired of it. Plus it’s going to be awhile until the next thing for people to sit and think on how much they didn’t like it

There's too much smoke for it to not have some truth.

Don’t melt shill. Youre seriously claiming that he hasn’t announced any new projects since Superman… lmao you guys never disappoint

so WBD CEO David Zaslav is putting people in place that Ellison wants. That means Ellison wants De Luca and Abdy in charge of Warner Bros. films.
Zaslav knew 3 years ago that they might sell to Paramount? De Luca and Abdy were put in charge of WB films by Zaslav when Discovery took over. In 2022.

What smoke? Why is it we should believe Forbes but not variety/deadline who are reporting something else? Newsflash, none of them know the real numbers. The only person that matters is David Zaslav, and he's greenlighting more projects. I'm going to believe his actions over random Twitter accounts.

Didn’t they report the numbers in financial statements? That was my assumption but didn’t read the specifics

He’s referencing the renewed contracts they announced last week. According to the sources, Ellison wants to keep them hence the renewals. Or that’s the rumor
Posted on 10/13/25 at 9:13 pm to Proximo
Go read the Forbes report. They literally state they're not sure if it's profitable or not. People are running with this because they don't like Gunn. It's that simple. Why would Zaslav be approving projects for massive flops like Madking believes? Don't you agree that sounds pretty ridiculous? Zaslav is a corporate ahole. He's in this for profits, nothing else.

Zaslav wanted to keep them because of the insane success of WB's 2025. Why would Ellison not want to to keep them? Using the most obvious contract renewal in hollywood this year as the basis of a rumor is stupid.

He’s not telling the truth. The only question they introduced was that it could be possible fit Superman to make a little more via streaming etc but it’s theatrical run flopped and there is zero ambiguity in the article about that.
