Rumor - Marvels 'Black Widow’ Will be an R-Rated Film

I like the idea, but I'm skeptical that Disney actually goes thru with it.

Its supposed to jump between 16 year old Black Widow and 24 year old Black Widow, right before we see her in Iron Man 2. Maybe we'll get blood and boobs.

Disney owned Miramax at the time. They didn't promote it as Disney's Miramax though like they do with Marvel and Lucasfilm.

Gotcha. Yea there’s definitely a difference with a movie being technically backed by Disney versus a movie that everyone knows is a Disney movie

How will this movie do. I dont see Black Widow as a standalone character. The only way i see this being succesful would be the whole parents bringing their daughters crowd, but that goes out the window with a rated R movie.

Its going be R rated cause... Next Deadpool movie will have Disney hand in it. Being Fox has canned all the films they had plan for the new few years.. Deadpool is slowly becoming into the MCU

Comic book nerds is how the movie would make money. As the first R rated Marvel movie, that instantly gives it appeal to the older crowd.
Making it be Black Widow and fans hoping to see SJ boobs will further increase that.
Ideally at this point we can stop underestimating the Marvel fandom. They show up in droves to their movies.
