Well deserved. Starting a movie off with a “Yo Momma” and having such great lines as "That's how we're gonna win. Not fighting what we hate, saving what we love”, is clearly the work of a genius writer. He managed to even overcome the brilliant line of “I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.” The Shakespeare of our time.

Apparently he beat out Black Panther, Logan, Wonder Woman, Get Out and Blade Runner.

I wonder how much money Disney had to pay for that.

Don't forget the infamous "I saved you" line as the First Order breaks through the Rebel wall

Get Out, Logan and Blade runner were all better written

The holdo-poe plot is legit terribly bland writing. "Rebel scum" was prequel levels corny.

That’s the prelude to the even worse quote listed above. She just doomed them.

But somehow this is a better screenplay the Blade Runner 2049, a movie that’s going to age like fine wine. The Last Jedi is a breached whale carcass that only reeks more as time goes on.

I'm sure criminal charges can be found.

Wow.

Seriously compare K’s and Logan’s arcs to Rey’s. Well it’s pretty easy since Rey doesn’t have one. That alone should disqualify it.

Writing wasn't the problem with that scene.

Yes it was, since he also directed it.

It was his vision when he wrote it.

No it wasn't. There was nothing wrong with the idea or the script. It sucked because of the execution and the effects. It could have been just fine. It obviously wasn't.
