If a show doesn’t get good till episode 5 it’s not a good show

I’m trying to give it a little credit but it’s on the path to becoming the worst show I’ve watched all 2022. On episode 5. How did this get green lit

Resident Evil should be one of the easiest products to make, yet they keep fricking up.

No fan of RE wants to watch a tangential high school drama about a newly created Wesker family.

That is fricking stupid.

This is probably another script that had nothing to do with RE and the writer/producers simply changed the universe to reference RE so they could sell it.

What a waste.

It’s not a question anymore. This is the worst show by RE I’ve ever watched. I’m actually pissed and want those 4 hours back.

You sure? Critical Drinker hates it apparently.

The Critical Drinker makes his money by being, well, critical. I like his stuff too but he'll hate on something just to sort of ride the wave of hating something. I'm not saying he does that with everything but even when something turns out to be good that he declared was crap he'll post some long winded video where he says it was okay but still crap because fan service or what have you. Hey, he's got a good gig going for a writer of a lousy book series (I've read some of them, he is not the best writer alive today) I'd shite all over everything if it paid my rent too.

As to this series... he may be right. I haven't seen it but what I did see before it came out did not inspire me to go all in on it.

With this fricking show they are saying how they’re right, how they and not the actual fans know what Capcom was going for, and if you disagree with us, then frick you, you are a racist. It’s so fricking condescending. They fricked with the wrong fanbase this time.

Eat a fricking dick, dude. This sentence is all anyone needs to know that you’re not a Resident Evil fan. In fact it’s enough to show that you despise Resident Evil.

I usually gravitate to a lot of ‘bad’ shows for the simplicity and doesn’t require all my attention- this show is full on hairy man a-hole level

Exactly this. Even just as a casual gamer, it’s clear all that needs to be done is to just stick to the original storylines.

I can’t believe I’ve put myself through these 8 episodes

I can’t trust anyones opinion on a show if they thought this was any good

I just... don't know where it goes? Interesting direction, but the way it ended, I'm like... thats it? Theres supposed to be more seasons?

Honestly it felt like a really fun drunken mess.

To a point yeah... I never played the early games so all of the lore is still kind of fuzzy to me.

It seemed loosely attached to the movie "canon" storyline, but they could've just named it something else entirely yeah... could've just been another series about zombies and end of the fricking world.

It's kind of strange to think how often this happens with video game-based movies when compared to book-based movies.

Imagine the collective outrage if it were announced that a Harry Potter film were in the works loosely based on the J. K. Rowling book. It's worked on rare occasions--emphasis on rare.

That was an attempt @ ode to the original Wekser and how he dressed.

I liked the “dad” Wesker character, but the rest of the cast and high school zombie crap was bad. If you look @ who wrote & directed each episode, it was almost all women, which doesn’t surprise me from the tone and themes of the show.

The 90s “retro” RE movie that came out last Halloween, got pretty much no publicity, but when I finally watched it, I was pleasantly surprised by it.

The problem is that the protagonist and her sister are complete morons that consistently make bad decisions, resulting in the death of others. It’s like Harry and Lloyd meet Resident Evil.

You sure about that because I've seen EVERY movie, and although I haven't played every game, I actually own 3 right now and am just waiting to update my console before I get VILLAGE.
