I don’t understand the hard on’s for whiplash. It’s a good movie but it’s not like it totally reinvented the wheel or some monumental achievement in film that people will look back on as a landmark film of the 2010s. It’s a solid flick but that’s all.

The only negative I can say about Whiplash is that it is NEVER available to stream on any of the major services and it's NEVER on TV.

same here.

i feel like they brushed through the most intriguing aspect of the movie with a 40 second montage.

i didnt hate it or anything, but it wasnt something i thought too much about after i watched it, other than trying to pinpoint why i felt so underwhelmed. felt the same way about Blade Runner 2049 tbh.
