You ranked VIII above VII?

VIII was a better “movie” than VII, just had slightly worse writing.

1) Empire Strikes Back
2) Return of the Jedi
3) A New Hope
4) Rogue One
5) The Force Awakens
6) Revenge of the Sith
7) The Phantom Menace
8) Attack of the Clones
9) The Last Jedi

I rank this movie below the Prequels, and it's because the prequels can kind of be enjoyed or hated on their own. Seeing Disney completely frick old classic characters like this and completely cheapen the Original Trilogy is an unforgivable crime. There is absolutely nothing they can do in episode IX to redeem VIII.

The other thing that sucks is that generally how you feel about one of the prequel movies, or one of the original trilogy, is about the same as how you feel about all the movies in that particular trilogy. The quality drop off between TFA and TLJ is so disorienting, that I feel like I can't enjoy TFA ever again.

If TFA is “literally” A New Hope and you put A New Hope at number 1 then logically your argument is full of shite
